Raised spring test
Front and rear set
1.6l engine 175 & 200 lbs
DACIA DUSTER 1.5 dci, 110HP
Year 2010, 155250km, winter tires 215/65R16, skid plate under the engine.
Body weight: 1482 kg, front 892kg rear 590kg, around 20 litters of diesel fuel in
Shock absorbers (original) with 59% performance on the front and 62% rear.
I got second package of springs for Duster (that fits perfectly to Duster’s trunk):
DEV13063 – 1.2 litre front (on box additional description DEV13063-2 and
DEV13063-4 – front raised)
DEV13064 – 1.6 litre front (firmer rate approx. 200lbs)
DEV13064B – 1.6 litre front (softer rate approx. 175lbs)
DEV13065 – Rear (firmer rate approx. 200lbs)
DEV13065B – Rear (softer rate approx. 175lbs)
The first set of springs that I have tested was: DEV13064 front and DEV13065.
You can see above the difference between the original springs (Pict 1) and the raised ones
Difference between the original front strut and one with Pedders spring.
The second set of springs that I have tested was: DEV13064B front and DEV13065B.
You can see above the difference between the original springs (Pict 3) and the raised ones
(Pict 4) is almost like the previous ones. Only measurements can show real difference.
Some other pictures from mounting:
Left DEV13064B – right DEV13065 – rear struts
175 Lbs ride height – front left
175 lbs overall

Data gives answers for rising possibilities for this car. I didn’t recognise any problems concerning shafts
(both front or rear). Test drives were done on one day.
Some my feelings after short test drives with firmer and softer springs.
SET I - 200 lbs are firmer than original, but the comfort stays at good level. Car is raised and you can feel it
on fast curves. This set is correct for well-equipped car ex. Winch skid plates and roof rack. Expedition,
hunting, etc. purposes.
SET II – 175 lbs are softer than previous ones but still firmer than originals. Ride height is same and you
feel that you can go further than on standard struts. This car is rather for unloaded rides like getting home
for retired ones in the mountains.
