COUNTER-DEMONSTRATION
TO WHITE SUPREMACISTS

Given recent events, various white supremacists are suspected to be congregating and
demonstrating at the Evergreen State College Thursday 15 June 2017 at 5:30 PM. Students, faculty,
TESC alumni and the greater Olympia community are holding a counter-demonstration.

What: All people are welcome to stand in solidarity with us and against white supremacy.

When: Thursday 15 June 2017

2:00 PM- Our community plans to chalk campus together

4:00 PM- We are congregating and standing in solidarity with our community and against white supremacy/
white supremacists

Where: Red Square at the Evergreen State College

What to Bring: Yourself and friends, chalk, food, non-slip shoes

What to Expect: There is no way to know exactly what to expect. It is important that you are prepared for
whatever the day may bring. Different people have different tactics and goals when demonstrating. Although
we are a diverse community, we are coming together in solidarity and standing against white supremacy. We
are stronger and safer the more people who come and all are welcome. Racism, sexism, classism, ableism,
homophobia, transphobia, religious intolerance, ageism, sizeism and all other forms of discrimination will not
be tolerated.

What to Know and Do Prior to Thursday: It is important to be prepared and have basic know-how of
protests and demonstrations. The best way to figure this out is to talk to your fellow peers who might have
experience. We can support our community in the best ways by getting in touch with and connected to
people within it. But there are many great sources online that provide tips and tricks of how to stand in
solidarity and how to demonstrate safely and productively. Here are a few sources:

It is also important to familiarize yourself with the events that have recently transpired at the Evergreen State
College. Here are a few sources:

Invite your friends, your peers and your comrades!

Join your community and stand in solidarity against white supremacy!

We are many but together we stand as one!
