LOCAL GIRLS PREMIER SOCCER LEAGUE / CLUB PYRAMID
Girls Development Academy (USSF)
ECNL (US Club Soccer)

No outside soccer activities (including HS soccer) and ability to
play other sports is club dependent. But that will be made more
difficult with trainings 4x per week plus games on weekends.
Season is Sept - June with Nationals in July (Break in Dec /Jan)
This is where NT prospects will eventually all looked to be
centralized.

Other soccer, including HS soccer allowed. Still tough to play
other sports with strict schedule. Trains 3x per week plus 2
games most weekends. Season is Aug - June (Nov - Jun for HS
ages) with Nationals in end of June.
League Play: ECNL Northeast Region: MA, CT, NY, NJ, PA
Annual National Showcases

League Play: GDA Northeast Region: MA, CT, NY plus
crossover into Atlantic Region: NJ, PA, MD, VA.

State Cup, with State Cup Nationals also in July.

Other soccer and sports allowed. Trainings usually 2-3x
per week, with one game per weekend. Season is
Aug - June (Nov-June for HS ages) with Nationals in
July. These teams usually always participate in NEP

NEP - (US Club Soccer)
The NEP is where the regional teams the clubs who also have DA/ ECNL/NPL teams are
placed and play, and also where ALL the teams play for the rest of the NEP licensed clubs.
Teams are then broken into the different divisions. Training is usually 2-3x per week, with one
game on weekend. Season is Aug– June (Nov-June for HS Ages) and NEP Final Four Playoff
held in early June. Some of these teams MAY participate in NEP State Cup and State Cup
Nationals is also in July.
League Play: NEP (Premiership / Championship / League1): Based on division opponents,
games could be MA, NH, CT, RI * Annual Local Tournaments: Mostly New England based,
with some that may travel further.

NSL / Formerly MAPLE - (Switching to US Club Soccer)
The NSL, which was most recently known as MAPLE, and was run by US Youth Soccer, is now a US Club Soccer league moving forward, and makes up
a good portion of the rest of the premier (and some strong travel) teams in the area from smaller and much more local clubs. Teams are broken into
several divisions. Training is usually 2-3x per week, with one game on weekend. Season is Aug - June (Nov - June for HS Ages) Some of these teams
MAY participate in the NEP State Cup moving forward and State Cup Nationals is also in July. Previously many of these teams may competed
in the USYS State Cup.
League Play: NSL (Elite / Select / Club / Developmental etc etc): Mostly MA, with a few in NH, RI, CT * Annual Local Tournaments: Mostly New England
based, with a few that might travel further.
