BIOGRAPHY
Marek Pavelec (*1989, Czech Rep.), described as one of the most expressive violinists of his generation,
started playing the violin at the age of 7. After studies at Pilsen Conservatory (prof. J. Holotova) and Vienna
Music University (prof. J. Pospichal), he became a student of a legendary Russian pedagogue Zakhar Bron
in Zurich, Switzerland. Besides the regular studies, he also took part in masterclasses of significant musicians
such as Julia Fischer or Ida Haendel.
Marek Pavelec is a laureate of the International Vaclav Huml Violin Competition (Zagreb, 2013), winner
of the International Camillo Sivori Violin Competition (Cosenza, 2013), winner of the Vaclav Hudecek Academy
in Luhacovice (2010) and winner of the National Competition of Czech Conservatories (2008). For his
acchievments and impressive style of playing he has been invited to Madrid to shoot a classical music show
"Jóvenes Solistas" for Mezzo TV.
As a soloist, Marek Pavelec has performed in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Czechia, Croatia,
France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates and Japan, accompanied by various philharmonic orchestras
(Pilsen Philharmonic, Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra (SOČR), Bratislava Chamber Philharmonic, Croatian
Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Cologne Music University, Bohuslav Martinu
Symphony Orchestra Zlin, Karlsbad Symphony Orchestra, Barocco Sempre Giovane chamber orchestra,
"Concert des Cites Unies" international orchestra).
When he is not performing on classical music stages worldwide, Marek Pavelec often shares his skills
in major music clubs (Kaufleuten, Vior, Aura) using the electric violin. His ability continues from performing
practised pieces to immediate improvisation making him a desirable contact with bands and DJs of all styles.
