Upcoming Season For the Detroi t Li ons
The 2016-2017 seemed like yesterday or so. For the Detroit Lions case,
the new season for them starts Sunday September 10th against the
Arizona Cardinals. Last time the two teams started the season against
each other was 2003 when Charles Rogers grabbed two touchdowns,
sorry his season came to an end because of collarbones.
*Cardinals vs Lions 1:00PM: Week 1 Sep 10
In this game it should be about the Quarterbacks, Yes Palmer vs
Stafford. Everyone know's Palmer's number one target is Fitzgerald,
the Cardinals running game is very decent, their defense is top 10 in
the NFL and could scare the Lions in a couple ways.
For the Lions, the only way to win this one is their passing game. With
Tate and Jones Jr., Stafford needs to throw bullet passes and hope for
the best if the offensive line can block. The Lions defense for the debut
of the season worries me, I don't know if they will pan out week 1.
Cardinals 30 Lions 17 (Lost)
*Lions vs Giants 8:30PM: Week 2 Sep 18
The Giants are a top 5 NFC team this season, no doubt. Eli is gonna be
Eli in this case, I'm projecting numbers for him like this:
4003 YDS 28 TDS 16 INTS
Yeah Odell Beckham JR. should bounce back from a papparazzi fame
driven season, I understand they lost Victor Cruz but he did nothing
for them last year.
The Lions secondary needs to step up in this game, did I mention it's
nationally televised. The Corners and Safteys are gonna have to stop
Odell and Co. Lions 24 Giants 30 (Lost)
*Falcons vs Lions 1:00PM: Week 3 Sep 24
It's no F*c#ing way the Falcons lose this one. Defending NFC
Champions, Matt Ryan and Julio Jones are a top 3 duo. Stopping this
offense is gonna be hard for the Lions.
The defense for the Lions in this game is this: (SOL) Same Ole Lions.
To get close to the Falcons, it's gonna take a running game with other
offense, I don't see that happening. Falcons 42 Lions 10 (Lost)
*Lions vs Vikings 1:00PM: Week 4 Oct 1
No AP, No problem? Sam Bradford and the boys lost Peterson and the
running game is questionable. So get the receivers out in this one.
Stafford will eat this defense up like crazy, the defense will also do
theres. Lions 35 Vikings 20 (Win)
*Panthers vs Lions 1:00PM: Week 5 Oct 8
Cam Newton is how I start, running Quarterback and more. Running
Quarterbacks always kill the Lions. With target Kelvin Benjamin and a
slight run game it could do it.
Looking for a back to back win, the Lions are gonna have to stop Cam
or the Cameras for the blooper effects. Golden Tate, I see going off in
this one, look for 7 catches 130 yds from him.
Panthers 17 Lions 24 (Win)
*Lions vs Saints 1:00PM: Week 6 Oct 15
Is Drew Brees old? this one will tell. Adrian Peterson is his new
running back, let's see why AP went to New Orleans out of all places.
Matthew Stafford will be KING against the Saints defense. The Saints
defense will be a between 20 - 28 defense this season. Stafford could
throw 4 TDS with 360Yds. Lions 38 Saints 24 (Win)
BYE: Week 7
*Steelers vs Lions 8:30PM: Week 8 Oct 29
Pittsburgh Steelers says it all. Roethlisberger will be dynamic, Antonio
Brown could grab 11 balls with 200 yds knowing the Lions defense.
Sunday Night Football. This is not the thing for the Lions. I've seen it
in the past three years. Mainstream games are curses for them, in the
mean while, the defense are gonna have their Krusty the Clown shoes
on. Steelers 30 Lions 14 (Lost)
*Lions vs Packers 8:30PM: Week 9 Nov 6
As Stephen A. Smith say: ( He's a Badddd... Man.) Aaron Rodgers will
be deadly against the Lions, enough said.
A back to back Nationally televised game for the Lions is devastating.
Expect nothing. Lions 13 Packers 28 (Lost)
*Browns vs Lions 1:00PM: Week 10 Nov 12
The Rookies with Cookies. The Browns drafted 4 big name rookies in
this past draft. My favorite one was Jabril Peppers, can't wait for this
one, while he come back to the state of Michigan.
This is gonna be a cakewalk for Stafford just adding on to his stats this
season. If the Browns are still simple Browns, look for Madden
numbers with Stafford. Browns 20 Lions 42 (Win)
*Lions vs Bears 1:00PM: Week 11 Nov 19
Chicago drafted a rookie Quarterback name.... ummm... Oh.. Mitch
Trubisky. Will he start? don't know. Any way it go the Bears are
terrible with any Quarterback they have.
Expect another Madden EA sports numbers game for Stafford in this
one, Chicago is just plain and bare naked. Lions 30 Bears 8 (Win)
*Vikings vs Lions 12:30PM: Week 12 Nov 23
Thanksgiving in Detroit for the Vikings will go all wrong. It's no way
they walk in Ford Field and get a win.
The Detroit Lions could have a three game winning streak after this.
Showing out in front of their fans and then a good Turkey
Thanksgiving Dinner, just hope it's not cold. Vikings 17 Lions 24
*Lions vs Ravens 1:00PM: Week 13 Dec 3
Joe Flacco is just lean and cut throat at times. The superbowl
champion could threaten the Lions defense.
On the other hand, Matthew Stafford is also lean. but the only way in
this is the offense. Marvin Jones jr. will take off like a bird, but it won't
be enough. Lions 20 Ravens 28 (Lost)
*Lions vs Bucs 1:00PM: Week 14 Dec 10
Jamies Winston will have a dominating season, Mike Evans is elite and
this defense is interesting. Winston could put numbers up like this:
350 yds 3tds 1 int with 25 rushing yds.
The Lions are gonna choke against this top 5 NFC team. In Stafford we
trust? kind of. Lions 17 Bucs 28 (Lost)
*Bears vs Lions 4:30PM: Week 15 Dec 16
The Bears once again are corny. Don't really care about them.
Saturday for the Lions is rare, Stafford will just add on to his season
numbers. Bears 7 Lions 17 (Win)
*Lions vs Bengals 1:00PM: Week 16 Dec 24
Dalton and Green, Christmas Eve is just wrapping up for you to open
up the run game for the Bengals. This defense will get in the Lions
The Lions are gonna need Jesus the day before Christmas. both offense
and defense will have to step up. Lions 14 Bengals 30 (Lost)
*Packers vs Lions 1:00PM: Week 17 Dec 31
Rodgers will continue to shine against the Lions, last game of the
season, no resting for him.
Looks like no playoffs for the Lions, as the last game of the season will
just be scrimmage looking numbers. Packers 30 Lions 14 (Lost).
Season Record: 7-9
