A new raffle was introduced at the September meeting
which is comprised of a 1/10th gold Eagle, a gold Mexican
Dos and an uncirculated Silver Eagle $. The spots are $5
each. The winners will be designated by drawing, lst the
Gold Eagle, 2nd the Dos gold coin and 3rd the Silver Eagle.
Our March meeting was a great fundraiser for the
club. The donations were terrific and the sales netted the
club $265. Thanks and appreciation goes to all who
attended, donated goodies and helped out with the setup!
We had several guests attend, Len Cohen of Delray
Beach, Andy MCord formerly from Scotland now Delray
Beach, Joe Perrone of Delray Beach and John Kotwas
from Albany, New York, George Anchors (who became a
member), and a gentleman named Stewart (did not get his
last name) from Palm Beach.
President Nash sadly announced the resignation of Jim
Sharp as Vice President. The position of Vice President is
important and the club needs one. Anyone interested,
please call a member of the Board.
The Secretary thanked Laurie Haire for her assistance
in producing the Auction Bid Sheets, public relations
brochures and the Club Directory. She reported that the
ink cartridge donation program has yielded $40 in
November 2014 and $12 so far this year; and said thanks
to those who are participating and asked those in
attendance to please continue to donate the ink cartridges.
Our Treasurer, Nick Mosca, reported a grand total of
$1356 in the bank as of the beginning of our meeting. He
further reported only 19 spots remain on the three coin
Vern Blausey, Librarian, reported that all books prior
to 2014 that have not been returned are now off the list.
Only 2014 and 2015 books will be checked. Please when
you borrow a book from our library, try to bring it back
the following month.
Encouragement was given to those in attendance to
please let the Board know what type of hunts you would
like. This does not mean you will have to put the hunt on
in the future, it just means we are looking for ideas and
value your input.
A Scavenger Hunt for the month of March through to
the April meeting was announced and a list of items to
find was handed out to those interested in participating.
There will be three prizes, 1st, 2nd and 3rd awarded to those
obtaining the most items.
Refreshment Hostess, Gail Hoskins asked the members
who are going to bring in any food items for the break to
please be sure you have a container to hold the food and a
utensil for serving. There are no utensils or bowls in the
New member John Pellegrino provided the mystery
Prize Stumper, an angel embossed coin and Pittsburgh
Railroad Token! Mindy Spiroch had a matching angel
coin and received a Silver Quarter.
Please remember to participate in the Tall Tales Table,
bring in your monthly finds for display (including any
junk), you could win the Mystery Prize Stumper. Gary
Spiroch will provide the April Mystery Prize Stumper.
