April Special Guests
We were honored to have Captain Carl Fismer and Brad
Williamson of Treasure Expeditions share some of their
stories of seeking and finding Treasure, as well as an
amazing collection of pieces of eight and several books
that Captain Fismer had written (some of it was for
sale).
Captain Fizz and Brad Williamson are offering a once a
month, one day seminar and dive on two wreck sites in
the Keys. An inexpensive and unforgettable experience

click on Treasure Workshop! On their website you will
also find numerous stories of past and ongoing treasure
expeditions. Captain Fizz and Brad have promised a return visit soon, possibly to discuss a gold coin recovery
that they are presently working.

New Meeting Place!
Starting with the May meeting, we will be in the freshly
renovated Garden Club Building. It has been completely
remodeled with a gigantic kitchen with two refrigerators,
dishwasher, microwave, and a Bun Coffee maker! No stove top
due to safety for camp children, but we can bring in our own hot
plates, etc.
It’s also equipped with new bathrooms, water fountains,
television, WIFI, and a movable podium that can be plugged in
anywhere.

We have some sad news to report this month. Bob Dobski’s Son
passed away. Please keep Bob and his family in your thoughts and

Ongoing Club Projects
Our club collects eye glasses, foreign coins, miscellaneous items of costume jewelry / tokens / metal toys, pull
tabs, empty ink cartridges, small electrical stuff (nothing bigger than a large toaster), cell phones, tape recorders,
printers, etc. for recycling. If you have anything to donate, please see Jan Smirnow.

From our Secretary
Past Vice President, Public Relations Chair and member Jim Sharp stopped in for a visit and donated untold volumes of treasure
magazines, in addition to some raffle items for the club. It was good to see Jim and the hope from the membership is that he will visit
more often.
Thanks to Cheryl Petenbrink and April Sovich for a great job for Best Finds for the month. The winners of the Scavenger Hunt were:
First Place Jim Perkins (he collected 52 pounds of Aluminum Cans and sold it for $9), Second Place went to Ashley Wedde and Devin
Stehr, and Third Place to April Sovich.
Vice President, Sue Chonoles presented interesting Tips of the Month.
Copies of the Directory of Services for Palm Beach County were received and distributed to the membership; a few copies are left for
anyone who wants one at the May meeting. In the back of the directory you will find a section devoted to the amenities of all the
parks and beaches, broken down to the Northern, Western, and Southern portions of Palm Beach County. Only a few copies of Martin
County where available.
Jim Perkins won the 50/50 raffle for a grand total of $53. Get well cards were signed for Margaret Weller and Jim Orlando and will
be mailed out.

PARK HUNT AND PIRATE PICNIC - SATURDAY - MAY 20TH (raindate 27th)
BBQ CHICKEN AND DRINKS PROVIDED. Meet up at John and Tammy’s home at 8:30 a.m. Bring a covered side dish to share. Hunters
will be with an assigned partner from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Return to John and Tammy’s for BBQ. There will be prizes for best find,
and a pirate party.

(south) on Congress Avenue. Go south about 1/8 mile, and turn right at Lillian Road (first traffic light). The address is the fourth
