2015 Holiday Party
A special thank you goes to all those wonderful
members who managed to show up early to help set up the
Holiday Party. You are truly valued and your help was
greatly appreciated.
The party was in my opinion a delicious success! Each
year for me has passed with a wonderful get together, a
time to catch up and enjoy each other! A unique time for
all to attend and spend an evening with good company! It
amazes me that most of us know so little about each other,
yet every once in a while we are party to learning more. I
have often thought it would make an interesting article for
our Tinfoil Times if we were to write about one member a
month. Metal detecting is just the tip of as they say the
iceberg when it comes too each and everyone of us.
This past year we lost special people, fellow detectors.
family and friends, yet we gained new members who are
just as interesting and interested in our shared hobby. Let
us pray that we will all have a healthy, happy and
prosperous detecting year.

HIGHLIGHTS

Betty Laur ended up with two serving utensils that are not hers.
If you are missing any from the Holiday party - call Betty.

Jan Smirnow received the honor of winning the
Seventh Annual Broken Scoop Award.
Jan was the only nomination for a dubious award and
therefore the automatic winner. Jan locked herself in the
bathroom during a board meeting at Nick Mosca's house
and had to be rescued.
Jan will have to display this award in a prominent place
at her home until the next Holiday Party in 2016.
Hopefully she will be able to pass along the award at that
time to another member.
The scoop was donated by Kevin Reilly of Reilly's Treasured
Gold, Inc in 2008.
