The Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at the University of Mount Union will be awarding a $500 scholarship to the incoming
freshman that best exemplifies our creed, “The True Gentleman”. Applicants will submit a one-page response on what they
believe “The True Gentleman” means, and why they believe they best symbolize it (specific examples are encouraged).
Applicants must also explain how they will continue to exemplify “The True Gentleman” as they begin their college career.

Requirements to Apply
MUST be an incoming male freshman, registered fulltime at the University of Mount Union (Class of 2021)
Have had a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher to be confirmed with your permission by the
University of Mount Union
Completed Essays and Applications will be emailed to Connor Careless (Scholarship Chair) carelecw@mountunion.edu
Application Deadline: September 8th, 2017
Winner will be Announced on: September 15th, 2017
