Dear Sushma Swaraj ji Ma’am (Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs, Government of India),
I am writing to report that my grievance with Madad ID GE3DCO101936116 has been unfairly
closed based on a one-sided inquiry made by Consulate General of India in Hamburg at Jacobs
University Bremen Germany.
I am disappointed with this one-sided decision. There were so many contradictions and they
were not verified. I also knew from university students that some Indian students were
randomly asked though they had no idea about my case. I had expected that Consulate General
would hear both the parties involved in this case, unfortunately this did not happen. I was not
even informed that such inquiry will be made at Jacobs University and therefore I was not given
opportunity to present my side. I was not asked or not given a chance to show proof of my
research performance and findings, and proof of biased treatment.
Taking the advantage of this one sided inquiry and decision, one of my former Egyptian
colleagues from the same research group has now plagiarized my research work and findings in
his PhD thesis. My laboratory notebooks have also been stolen by someone after my supervisor
forcefully took my transponder and prevented me access to laboratory. It has been more than
one month and yet the Academic Integrity Committee of university has not made inquiry of the
student who plagiarized my work. I believe that this case of plagiarism is likely to be suppressed
at university level.
Furthermore, despite my good contribution, my former PhD supervisor has also removed my
co-authorship from an article which is accepted recently by a scientific journal. It is the fact that
Government of Maharashtra, India was the financial supporter for my research studies.
However, it is completely disrespectful and unprofessional that my PhD supervisor has not even
acknowledged for the financial support in this article. There is also a high possibility that my
research results will be included on a patent, without giving credit to my contribution. All this
has been happening because I had taken objection against my supervisor’s mental
pressurization and unfair treatment.
It has been one year and nobody has helped me in this case so far. No intervention was made
though it was told that Consulate General will make intervention. My career has been
destroyed for no reasons.
I kindly request you and hope that the Ministry of External Affairs would try to investigate the
