-DO NOW: Class will listen to music examples and write three full sentences describing sound (5 min)
-Class analysis of traditional and contemporary Sufi pieces using the Elements of Music (pitch, dynamics, timbre, texture, tempo, register,
articulations) (10 min)
-Individual Assignment of a Sufi melody where students must use melody in current Individual Project: Production projects will use Midi
Controllers to record melody in a piece, Instrument projects will learn to play the melody on their instrument (piano/guitar) (20 min)
-Exit Ticket being demonstration of Individual Assignment to Instructor
Homework
Accommodations & Modifications
-Teacher will bounce between each student aiding them with their productions.
-Students who finish early will continue their Marking Period Projects
-Students struggling with concept will work with teacher and/or listen to other Sufi songs and analyze them using own Workstation.
