John E. Taylor is the Global Senior Manager of Supplier Diversity Development for Delphi
Corporation. John has 35 years of Supply Management experience, specializing in Purchasing,
Supplier Quality, Contract Services and Minority Supplier Development.
The award winning Delphi Suppler Diversity Development program has surpassed the $7 billion in
spending with minority, women-owned and Veteran owned business enterprises. The Delphi
Supplier Diversity Development process has maintained double digit percent in spending with
Diverse suppliers for the past several years...
He is very active in the local Michigan Minority Council as member of the Board of Directors and as
the leader of Delphi’s Project One group he also serves as a committee member for numerous
MMSDC events.
John is active on the national level serving on the Advance Practices Committee and he is acting
chair of the Automotive Component Manufactures Industry Group. John is a board member and
Treasurer for the Council of Supplier Diversity Professionals (CSDP). John is a member of the Board
for the North Oakland YMCA.
On the international level John leads Delphi corporate diversity involvement In the United Kingdom
and China.
John has a bachelor’s degree in human resources development from Oakland University and he is a
graduate of the Pontiac Motor College of manufacturing management. He is married and has two
children. He attends Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon.

John Taylor was a huge mentor for my company, and I don't think I've mentioned his name in the last
5 years to anyone in the field who hasn't commented on how influential John has been or how he has
helped them in some way. If you need more information or references, I'm happy supply them. He
has since moved on from Delphi and has a solo career, but I thought it was important to nominate
someone who has been so influential in the success of so many MBEs.
