Bottom Line
The Sennheiser CX 275S is a mid-range headphone. Things that I like about this headphone is the unique
design, remote feature and the overall sound quality. Also the cable adapter provided can be very useful for those
people who use multiple devices and worry about the compatibility of the headphones on all the devices.
Considering the review of CX 275 you can definitely go for this one if it meets your “requirements” but I would
like to point out that Sennheiser has better quality earphones within this range.

Today we are going to review the CX 275S In Ear Headphones from the German manufacturer Sennheiser, well
known for their audio engineering. The Sennheiser CX 275s has been in the market for quite a while now and it
still attracts the interests of a lot of people. Lets dig deeper and see what makes it so desirable. The CX 275S is
a mid-range earphone with excellence sound and built quality with primary focus on the bass and compatibility.

What’s in the box?
The headphone packaging comes with three pair of earbuds (small, medium and large size), the headset itself
and a small black carrying pouch which I suppose is made up of rexine. The package also includes a two year
international warranty and an additional cable adapter to reverse the polarity of the signal making it compatible
with almost all 3.5 mm jack supportive devices including Apple, Samsung, Sony, Windows etc. According to
Sennheiser the CX 275S is compatible with virtually all major smartphone and tablet brands. If you still doubt it
then you can check the compatibility of Sennheiser headphones with your device here:

Design & Features
Talking about the design, it has a very unique, simple yet classy design. The housing
has a metallic grey finish with elegant and stylish design on it. The headphone is
completely made up of plastic and features a Sennheiser branding on both the
earpieces. The cable is 1.2 m long, which is too thin and is bound to get spoiled if
treated roughly. Although the cable is not tangle-free but you can use the carrying
pouch that comes with the headphones to keep them tangle free (to some extent).
The cable also inhibits a remote on the left ear’s cable right below the chin which comes with a mic on the back

side and a single button to play/pause music or receive/drop calls. But the remote does not have a volume
adjustment option, which is very useful feature when you need to change the volume
on the go.
The headphone comes with a distortion free mic so you don’t have to hear the sound
of the mic rubbing against your clothes. Also it features passive noise isolation that
lets you enjoy your music even in noisy surroundings. For best results choose your
earbud wisely from the provided sizes so you can make the most out of the passive
noise isolation feature. It cancels the ambient noise around you. The headphone has
a 3.5 mm gold plated jack. The standard jack is straight whereas the cable adapter
jack is L-shaped. The headphones have a frequency response range of 17 – 23000
Hz and impedance rating of 16 Ohm.

How does it sound?
If we talk about the sound quality, as Sennheiser states the CX 275 has a bass
driven stereo sound and I totally agree with it. The CX 275S has superb bass with
minimal distortion even at max volume. It has a high powered dynamic speaker
systems for bass driven sounds. Although the bass is superior but it lacks in mids
which makes the overall sound a bit less punchier. In comparison with the bass, the
mids and treble are a bit suppressed. But if you are a bass head or if you listen to a lot of EDM then the
suppressed mids and treble are none of your concern and the overall sound quality will surely blow your mind.
