Bottom Line
The Sony MDR-ZX110A might look good but feels cheap and falls a bit short in built-quality. However the bass of
the headphone deliver an immersive sound which is commendable for its price.

Sony is in the audio industry since many years now, providing superior quality audio equipment including
headphones. The Sony MDR-ZX110A is specifically designed for people who are looking for a headphone within
a tight budget that sounds great. Well Sony has definitely nailed this one, let’s review this headphone and see

If you just look at the headphone, it looks quite expensive until you hold it in your hands. The combination of
matte and gloss finish makes it look cool but it is made up of plastic which is a bit fragile and may break if used in
sporty manner. Although the foldable earcups that twist inwardly makes it safer to carry around. It is difficult to
find this feature in similar range headphones.
The Sony MDR-ZX110A has 30mm dynamic drives, which provides an elevated sound quality. The frequency
range of this headphone is 12-22000Hz with 24Ohm impedance. The headphone does not come with a mic or
cushioning on the headband. With the light weight ear cups, you can wear these headphones for hours without
getting uncomfortable since it doesn’t apply much pressure to your ears and head.

It has a very good quality rough and tough cable which is
tangle resistant. It comes with the Y-type chord which could
be an issue for some people because most people like one
sided cords. Fortunately the headphone jack is L-shaped
which is gold plated for better conduction. The cable is 1.2
meters long and the headphone weight is only 120grams.
Talking about the overall sound quality – it is a lot better
than what you’d expect looking at its price. The Sony MDRZX110A gives a powerful bass response with clear vocal
sound but lacks a bit in treble and mids due to which it
suffers in detail and clarity if listening to multi instrument
songs. Although this headphone can do the trick for most

The Sony MDR-ZX110A is one of the most classy, affordable
and value for money headphones that you can opt for. It
comes in two colors: White and Black. Sony as a brand
would merely be disappointing in terms of quality. If you are
looking for a cheap headphone with a relatively good sound
quality, go for it.
