Dear potential sponsor,

Thank you for expressing interest in sponsoring our convention. In the past six
years, SwampCon has become one of the largest multi-genre conventions in the
North Florida region, catering to fans of anime, science fiction, comics,
movies, tabletop and video gaming, and so much more. Our first event in 2012 had
an attendance of over 1,700 guests and has since attracted crowds of over 4,000
attendees. Our convention strives to create a safe space where people of all ages
and backgrounds can come together and enjoy quality programming, completely
free of charge!
Now, SwampCon is back in its seventh year with its theme: Voyage! In keeping
with the theme of adventure and discovery, we’re looking forward to new
horizons and the opportunity for our convention to grow even further, and in
tandem with both the Gainesville and national convention community.
SwampCon 2017 will be taking place on the weekend of January 13th and 14th,
2018 in the recently updated J. Wayne Reitz Union, and we are proud to bring
back many of our popular main events. These include the fan-made Vocaloid
concert, SwampCon Drag Show as well as many other events, panels, and
contests. We also bring in popular media guests, such as authors, voice actors,
and industry representatives.
SwampCon is staffed by dedicated volunteers who work the entire year to
ensure the convention’s success. We strive to provide a place for local businesses
to represent themselves within our convention. Your organization’s sponsorship
will ensure the success of both SwampCon Voyage and SwampCons in the future
by allowing us to keep it completely free and accessible to everyone while also
gaining your organization exposure to thousands of students and guests.
Therefore, we would like to present the opportunity for your organization to join
us on our voyage in 2018.
If your business or organization is interested in being represented at SwampCon
Voyage in 2018, please forward the enclosed application, or any relevant
questions, to our contact e-mail, event@swampcon.org.
We look forward to working with you!
Harrison Tancer
Sponsorship & Fundraising Chair

Benefit Explanation
The convention guide is a full-color handbook given to everyone who
attends. It is intended to be informational, providing a map, schedule, and
of course sponsors, but also to be an appealing souvenir of the event. There
will be roughly 3000 convention guides printed, though this is subject to
change. The SwampCon website will feature your company name, logo and
local address where applicable. Our Facebook will also host a post dedicated
to a brief spiel about your services, as well as any relevant sponsor codes. If
you have any further questions about how benefits work, please feel free to
contact us.
We ask that all payments be made over Paypal or by check. All checks will
be made out to Max Dunevitz. All Paypal payments will be sent to
event@swampcon.org. However, alternate payments may be discussed if
Other Ways to Sponsor
Alongside monetary donations, we also accept sponsorships-in-kind. These
include but are not limited to prize submissions for contests and services
(like equipment rentals). This is a prime way to get your name out to our
attendees. Unfortunately, due to university policy, food and drinks may not
be submitted as sponsorships-in-kind. Please check the respective box on
the application if you are interested in providing sponsorships-in-kind, and
we will reach out to you for specifics. SwampCon reserves the right to reject
prize suggestions if they are deemed inappropriate due to being of a
violent, sexual, or other explicit nature. Prizes must be received by
December 15, 2017. Please ship in due time to ensure we receive them by
this date. If a representative will be attending the convention, they can
simply be brought the weekend of the convention.
Ad Submission
In order for your company to receive the highest quality of service, we
request for advertising submissions to be in electronic formats. When
submitting the files, we ask for at least one of the following formats: .PSD,
.PDF, or .PNG. All submissions should be at 5.5 x 8.5 in (1650 x 2550 pixels)
and 300 DPI at its target size. File submission should be sent through email
after the sponsorship application is accepted. If issues arise with
formatting, contact us. Please include all fonts, artwork, and logos within a
folder as well as a way to contact the designer (preferably e-mail) if the need
arises. SwampCon reserves the right to reject any submission that is
considered unacceptable due to graphic or sexual nature.

The deadline for this application is December 15, 2017.
