DATASHEET – DANTE AUDIO NETWORKING CARD

1

Dante Audio Networking Card
Using the Dante™ controller software, the audio
can easily be routed between the Dante™enabled devices available on the network. In
combination with Audinate's virtual soundcard
and Televic’s TReX software, a PC can be turned
into a multichannel recording station, simply by
connecting the network port of this PC to the
network. This solution is incredibly cost-effective
because no audio interfacing equipment is
required.

Description
The Dante™ Audio Networking Card is a plug-in
card that fits inside the Plixus MME and Plixus AE
and provides a user-friendly digital audio
distribution interface that makes audio
networking quick and painless.
Digital audio distribution eliminates a myriad of
inflexible copper wires and interfacing equipment.
Instead, the installation is simplified using digital
networking. A single lightweight, inexpensive Cat
5e cable can carry 64 inputs and 64 outputs as
digital audio data.
Dante is built on top of IT standards and is a
complete, integrated media networking solution.
It delivers low-latency, tightly synchronized,
sample-accurate audio while simplifying the
installation and configuration of AV networks.
Since Dante™ runs on inexpensive, off the shelf
computer networking hardware, existing network
infrastructure can simply be preserved.
As a result, the conference system can effortlessly
interconnect to Dante™ enabled third-party
devices such as DSPs, audio mixers, break in and
break out interfaces or recording devices.
After it is installed in a network, Dante™-enabled
products are automatically discovered, resulting in
a plug and play audio networking solution.
