Information about the pattern:
♦ I will explain the first rows step by step and with a crochet chart, after this you can work with
the counting pattern.
♦ We will crochet this scarf top down. The numbers above the casket show the order and the
start of the rows.
That means row 1 starts with this casket:
♦ The colors show how the rows take course. We always go diagonally down until the peak and
Then diagonally up again.
♦ - Work every light casket like this:
Crochet 4 ch st. Then crochet 1 sc under the next 4 ch st, resp. into the the middle dc of the
next group.
- Work every dark casket like this:
Crochet [1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc] into the next sc of the last row.
Then crochet 1 sc under the next 4 ch st, resp. into the the middle dc of the next group
♦ There are some “special” caskets in every row. These are:
- The first casket in every row works like this:
4 ch st, 1 dc into the first ch sp of the last row, 3 ch, 1 sc into the next ch sp.
- The 3 “middle” caskets (thus the “top” and the ones directly before and after it) work like
this:
2 ch st, 1 dc into the top, 3 ch, 1 dc into the top, 2 ch, 1 sc into the next ch sp.
When the top casket is a dark one, replace the 3 ch st. in the middle with 3 dc.
- The last casket in every row works like this:
3 ch st, [1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc] into the last ch sp.

♦The first row is a special row: The explained way doesn’t work here because there aren’t
enough stitches yet. Just crochet them as explained on the next page and as shown in the
chart.
♦ We crochet in rows. That means you have to turn after every row.
♦ If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to aks me on facebook, crazypatterns or via
E-Mail (Krea_Tina@gmx.de)
So, let’s start!
Here is the crochet chart for the first 6 rows:
