The well-documented 35 Cent Price Variants were used for price testing in
selected and limited areas mainly within the U.S. to see what the resistance to
a 5 cent price increase would be. The regular priced versions were the 30 cent
copies.
This was also a practice for the 30 cent price variants, in which the regular
priced copies were 25 cents. These price variants should not be confused with
Foreign Edition comics.
It should also be noted that there are copies with the 35 cent price contained
in a diamond shape with a blank UPC box on the cover. These are all reprints
and not rare nor 35 cent price test variants. Enjoy this resource.
