Equestrian Canada Eventing Committee is pleased to announce the introduction of the EC-EV 105m division as a
pilot project for 2018.

Descriptive: The EV 105 division is for the training horse and /or competitor with the intent on progressing to the
Preliminary division. The dressage will be a progression from the training division to the Preliminary. The cross
country course should introduce tests of accuracy, agility and boldness control and judgement and jumping ability.
Combinations should be more complex then training but still be obvious and inviting to the horse. Obstacles should
now involve angled lines, corners varied terrain and combinations with water or narrow fences. The show jumping
course shall include two doubles or one double and a triple combination. If a triple combination is used it should be
at the second part of the course and with only one oxer. It should be more technical than the training level with any
related jumps on five strides or more. Only one upright and one ascending spread at max height. No others should
exceed 1.05 m and the first three fences should be lower than 1.05. Related distances not mandatory
