Frequently Asked Questions

Please read the below questions and answers carefully, as they will address all questions that you
might have related to our upcoming weekend.
• What is the goal of our weekend? 

The goal of this weekend is to give Frum divorced members who are serious-minded, an
opportunity to be inspired with wonderful first-class lectures, beautiful Davening, delicious food,
and a terrific program.
• Who is this weekend intended for?

This weekend is geared to all who are divorced with a Get. However, it is also open to those who
have never been married, and who would seriously consider marrying a divorcee. It is also open to
those who are widowed.
• Can you join if you are separated but do not have a Get?

Unfortunately, you may NOT join the weekend without a Get. While we sympathize greatly with
those who are enduring the arduous process of divorce, our standard is that we can only offer this
program to those who are in possession of a Get.
• What will the makeup of those attending the weekend be?

There will be a diverse group of people, who come from all communities that want a weekend to
feel rejuvenated and inspired. The prerequisite, however, is that they are Frum, and earnest. Our
primary mission is to provide emotional and social support for our divorced community. We are not
singularly focused on making Shidduchim.
For the first time ever, we will be offering a two-track program, where we will have specific
programs, several times during the weekend geared to a targeted age group. We will be
dividing the age group for these specific sessions, 20s-30s+ and 40s-50s+. While it would be a
wonderful outcome for people to meet at our events and create a lifelong bond, that is not our
primary mission. If this is your only reason for joining us, we encourage you to attend one of the
many programs that are being offered for singles by other organizations.
• Will I be able to meet a potential Shidduch on this weekend?

We have several board members who are Shadchanim and facilitators. Their primary role is to meet
each and every participant, and to get to know them personally. Throughout the weekend there
will be opportunities for both formal and informal interaction.
• How do I ensure that I will not be meeting my former spouse over this weekend? 

Frum Divorce is going to great lengths to ensure the comfort of each and every one of our
participants. We will conduct a conflict search on every reservation, so that only one party from a
previous marriage will attend (This is subject to you providing us with the details of your ex-

spouse). Practically speaking, the first person to complete the registration and payment will
automatically eliminate the former spouse from attending. While we would love to accommodate
everyone, we want to be respectful and understanding of people’s circumstances. This policy
affects only previous marriages, and does not apply to any other relationships.
• Will there be an even ratio of men to women? 

We will try to keep the ratio as close as possible.
• Will the doors be on Shabbos mode? 

Yes, we anticipate that every door will have a Shabbos key.
• Will there be transportation? 

While FD is not providing transportation, there is information regarding public transportation,
