DROP J20!
Campaign Draws Hundreds of Calls to the US Attorney's Office in DC 

PRESS ADVISORY
Supporters from more than 2 dozen US cities and at least 3
countries have called the United States Attorney’s Office for
the District of Columbia as part of a campaign demanding
an end to prosecution of the ‘J20’ Inauguration protesters.
Despite the outcome of the case’s first trials (42 not-guilty
verdicts from the jury, and the judge’s outright dismissal of
‘incitement’ charges for lack of evidence), the US Attorney
has refused to drop the cases of the remaining 188
defendants. These activists, journalists, legal observers, and
volunteer medics still face decades in prison and the daily
stress and disruption of unprecedented, aggressive
prosecutions.
In addition to the personal cost to defendants and the
misuse of public resources, these prosecutions are an
unacceptable criminalization of dissent. Potential protesters
watching these cases must weigh their cause against the
possibility of devastating, arbitrary prosecutions.
