Please share the info below with any potentially interested students. Positions are located throughout CA.
Descriptions are not specific to locations. I.e., the Biological Sciences ones are all the same and pretty generic, same
for the Office Support. However, these jobs provide opportunities for students to 1) earn money and 2) see what it's
like to work at NOAA.

Subject: Pathways Student Intern Announcement - Closes Monday January 22,2018
To: _NMFS WCR <email@example.com>
Dear WCR Staff,
The West Coast Region is once again looking at participating in the Pathways Student Intern program.
NOAA posted the Job announcements for the Pathways Student Intern positions, today, Monday, January 8, 2018 and
it will close on Monday, January 22, 2018.
We encourage you to share the links to these announcements with any students you may know or with any local
Colleges, Universities or other student organizations.
Historically the WCR has been very successful in utilizing the Pathways Program to provide students a quality
internship opportunity. DOC/NOAA has addressed the concerns we had with last year's announcement. This year's
announcement allows for a summer appointment to begin after May 1, 2018 and continue through September 30,
2018, Additionally, an appointment may be extended in one (1) year increments.
The program covers two types of positions; Student Trainee Biological Sciences and Student Trainee Office Support.
Although the WCR is committed to utilizing this program our budgetary capacity and other recruit priorities may
influence the level of our participation.

each location and the link to each announcement is listed below.

Please share this information with all interested parties,
