Transform your event into a unique experience, present your guests a
special show, share art with any audience in any desirted location.
My name is Mr Dripping, I am an artist, and among other things I dedicate
myself to speed-painting in a spectacular and surprising way. I create
unique pieces of art, an unforgettable memory of all attendees.
My painting consist of blank canvas painted in a special dripping
technique, it can be then hung at home or public walls to be admired.
Moreover, apart from this special object, you get a quick liveshow, an
image painted right on your eyes!
Let´s move on to how I work, what I use, and factors to be taken into
account for the perfect planning of the show.
ABOUT THE “ DRIPPING ” TECHNIQUE
A painting technique that is used, was
developed by Max Ernst in Germany,
called dripping technique, and also
by a more recognized American artist
Jackson Pollock. Initially, the technique
consisted of flicking some ink on canvas of
a flat position in large proportions. Thus,
forming harmonious shapes that seem
to dance together being intertwined.
I got inspired by the need to give a figurative
form to the abstracts of Pollock. Throughout
practice, the lines have formed an
independent technique, where recognisable
body silhouettes and faces were captured in
a spontaneous moment of free movements.
The beauty of the artworks is in their
simplicity. It amazes to see that artist´strokes,
and movements disappear without leaving
a trace, since the artist does not touch
the canvas, the paint falls from his spatula
making interesting shapes. It also dries
in a solid, smooth, and semi-gloss splash.
The history of art is made up of small
decisions, but they completely change your
path. One day you might decide to leave
the easel and paint directly on a floor, you
abandon brushes and decide to pour the
paint directly onto the canvas (sometimes
with drops, sometimes letting it form a thread
that allows a continuous drawing or at times,
splashing the surface energetically).
This is where it happens, “the action of
painting becomes an art object on its own”.
And all because of a simple decision: to be
on top of the canvas and not in the front.
Elements to keep in mind about the show:
- Needs a space around the canvas where attendees can
observe the action and so artist can move around it.
- Scenario and locaion plan where the task will be carried out.
- Good lighting conditions.
- Music (band, DJ or solo singer)
The procedure :
Option A: Show.
The show is under a simple agreement: (the images or videos
are made for the future use/posts, exhibition and/or sale in case
its just a show without giving the artwork). Check the prices
Option B: Show plus Artwork.
One of the aspects to be determined is the size of the work (look
at the pricelist). In case of having to represent an artist/celebrity/
person, I will need photographs or information of the person in
advance. If necessary, I cancharg for the piece, and make the
delivery to the client’s location.
