Terms and Conditions
1. General
1.1. HSN21KM 2018 (inclusive of 21km, 10km and 5km fun run respectively) is organised in
accordance to the rules and regulations of Muse Group Sdn Bhd, hereby referred to as
“The Organiser”.
1.2. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photograph, motion picture, recording, or
any other record of this race and its participants for any legitimate purpose, including
promotion, placements and commercial advertising.
1.3. HSN21KM is organised by Muse Group Sdn Bhd and sanctioned by FTKLAA. The
Organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event without any prior
notification, in which case, the fees are non-refundable. By signing up for this event,
you acknowledged your consent to receive future events notification and products
information from The Organiser via email.
2. Registration
2.1.1. Participants must meet the qualifying age to compete in the their respective
category:
2.1.1.1. 21KM Run Open - 16 years old and above on race day
2.1.1.2.
21KM Run Veteran - 40 years old and above on race day
2.1.1.3.
10KM Run Open - 15 years old and above on race day
2.1.1.4.
10KM Run Veteran - 40 years old and above on race day
2.1.1.5.
5 KM Fun Run- 13 years old and above on race day
2.1.2. Participant must reach the age stipulated above on the 31st of December 2018 to
qualify to join the run
2.1.3. Participation is open to all Malaysians and non-Malaysians alike.
2.1.4. Participants below the age of 18 must seek parental or guardian consent and fill
in the relevant indemnity form when registering online. Failing which, The
Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to the participant.
2.1.5. Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult. This
applies for 5KM. Participants under the age 12 are strictly prohibited from joining
the 21KM & 10KM category.
2.2. Registration will not be accepted after the closing date.
2.3. Race entry is non-transferable and non-refundable. To ensure that your race details are
correct, please check and update your personal particulars by Thursday, August 15th,
2018.
2.4. Please note that only changes to personal particulars will be accepted. The Organiser
reserves the right to close registration before the official closing date should
participation reaches its capacity before the date mentioned.
2.5. The Organiser will not be responsible for any dispute arising from incomplete details
given by participants.

2.6. Participants agreed to abide by all stipulated Rules and Regulations by The Organiser
(Muse Group Sdn Bhd) upon submission of the registration form and payment made for
the purpose of this event.
2.7. The Organiser reserves the right to limit and refuse entries
2.8. Confirmation slip and invoice will be sent to the participant’s email address after the
registration is successfully complete. Each participant can only take part in a single
competitive category.
2.9. The registration will only be completed when full payment is made.
2.10.The actual distance of the respective competitive categories will be subjected to further
confirmation with the sanctioning party before the race event.
3. Group Registration
3.1. Groups of individuals may register in bulk under Group Registration.
3.2. Group registration is open to Malaysian Residents only. Minimum number of
Participants per group is 10 runners.
3.3. Each group can select either one distance category or a mixture of any distance
categories in the 21km, 10km and 5km.
3.4. Payments of registration fee need to be made immediately if runners want to reserve
the slots.
3.5. There will be mailing option of Race Pack available for Participants who register under
Group Registration but there will be additional charges for the delivery (Refer Point 6.).
3.6. All Participants will be ranked as individuals in their respective distance categories and
all other Rules and Regulations apply.
3.7. How to register as per below
3.7.1.Group leader to purchase group gift voucher online Registration portal with the
number of runners (e.g 10pax) and distance categories (e.g 5km, 10km & 21km).
3.7.2.Once your payment has been made, you will get the payment invoice and
vouchers with unique individual promocode base on the slots purchase.
3.7.3.The codes are for the runners to register their details at the registration portal
without any additional payments.
3.7.4.Registrations must be completed before the registration deadline (15th August
2018).
3.8. The codes can only be use for the slots paid based on the invoice that we sent.
3.9. You may upgrade your category. There will be additional charges at the end of the
registration.
3.10. All unused slots will be forfeited should your runners fail to complete their
registrations before the registration deadline (15th August 2018).

4. Race
4.1. While every reasonable precaution will be taken by The Organiser to ensure
participants' safety, participants take part at their own risks and The Organiser shall not
be liable for any loss and/or damage, whether personal or otherwise, and howsoever
arising.
4.2. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any unattended bags at the event premises
for security reasons and will not be responsible for any losses or damages to the
belongings. Only registered runners for the respective category are allowed access to
the Start Point.
4.3. Runners must wear their assigned number bib on the front of their running attire near
his/her chest area at all times during the race. Participants not wearing a number bib
will be taken off the course by the officials and may result in disqualification.
4.4. A participant's failure to observe the Rules and Regulations may result in
disqualification.
4.5. A grace period of 5 minutes after the commencement of the race will be given for
latecomers. Any participant who reports later than this grace period will not be allowed
to participate in the race. Latecomers should be aware that their timings commence
when the race begins. Latecomers are not eligible for prize winning.
4.6. Road closure will be lifted after 5 hours from the first flag off and the roads will be reopened to vehicular traffic. Participants will then continue the race on the footpath at
their own risk. Support vehicles or pacers (other than officially appointed by The
Organiser) are not allowed.
4.7. A deposit of RM100 or equivalent must accompany the appropriate protest and will be
refunded if the protest is successful. All decisions made by the Appeal Board shall be
final and irrefutable. The Organiser reserves the right to stop any participant deemed
physically unfit (i.e. severe physical harm) from continuing the race. All participants are
required to report at the Start Point at least 30 minutes prior to flag-off time.
4.8. Any disputes arising from the participation in the HSN21KM competitive race shall be
referred to Arbitration to be conducted in Malaysia under the law of Malaysia
Arbitration Court. A participant who protests another competitor or notifies of violation
by a contestant must do so in writing to The Organiser within 30 minutes of the release
of the official results.
4.9. In accordance with IAAF Rules, a runner must retire from the race immediately if
requested by any member of the official medical staff. No pets or any form of wheelrun objects or transport, e.g. prams, pushchairs, shoes with rollers etc, are allowed on
the running route. All participants who successfully complete the race will be awarded a
Finisher's Medal at the Finish Line, with the race bib as proof of participation. All
participants who successfully complete the race will be awarded an Online Certificate of
Achievement, to be downloaded by participants. Participants who fail to complete or

was disqualified will not be awarded with a Certificate of Achievement. All participants
must only wear their assigned race bib. Transfer of race bib is strictly not allowed.

5. Race Pack Collection
5.1. All registered participants are to collect their race packs which include the Race Bib,
Race T-Shirt and race pack at the Race Expo which will be held on the 11, 12 & 13
October 2018
5.2. Race pack will NOT be issued to the participants after the designated collection period
5.3. For collection, please bring along the confirmation slip or NRIC/Passport for verification
purposes.
5.4. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse participants without the required documents
from collecting their race packs.
5.5. If participants are unable to collect their Race Pack in person, they may authorize a
representative to collect on behalf. Please download the authorization of collection
form from the website.
5.6. Runners who would like to collect the race pack in bulk which are more than 10
runners, we recommend you to fill up our bulk collection in advance and email to us at
askus@hsn21km.com
6. Race Pack Delivery (RPD)
6.1. In the registration portal, you have the option of having your Rack Pack delivered to
your given mailing address. Mailing Option for Race Pack is available within Malaysia
only. Additional fees apply: RM15.00 per runner for Peninsular Malaysia and RM18.00
per runner for East Malaysia.
6.2. If you choose this option for your race pack when you signed up, your Rack Pack will be
couriered to the address provided in the registration forms earliest on 19th September
2017 and the latest date on 3rd October 2017
6.3. Please note that the mailing service for Race Pack is not applicable for foreign residents
6.4. Malaysian Residents can choose upon registration whether he/she prefers to use the
postal service delivery of their Race Pack.
6.5. The Organizer is not responsible for any undelivered Race Packs due to incorrect or
incomplete address.
6.6. The Organizer is not responsible for any undelivered Race Packs due to unavailability of
receiver at the delivery address.
6.7. Undelivered Race Packs will be returned to the Organizer and Participants must collect
their Race Pack on collect from info counter on event day.
6.8. We would refund the undelivered race kit when the participants collect from info
counter on event day)

7. Timing Device
7.1. All participants must attach the assigned Bib on the front of their running attire. The
adopted timing device is the sole means of race timing measurement.
7.2. The Organizer will not be responsible for any inaccuracy in participant’s race timings. An
identification antenna is embedded in the timing device for competitive runners.
7.3. The runner’s particulars and timings will be recorded electronically. Runners who fail to
bring their race Bib on the event day will not participate as competitive runners.
7.4. The Organizer will not refund runners who forget to bring their race bib on the race day.
7.5. Competitive runners are to run through the gantries set up at various points of the
route. Failure to comply will result in disqualification
8. Safety & Medical Advisory
8.1. Should any participant feel unwell in the course of the race, he/she should stop and
seek immediate medical attention at designated medical posts.
8.2. Participants should prepare themselves adequately and gradually increase the duration
and intensity of their training over several weeks prior to the event. Participants should
ensure that they are well-rested and well-hydrated prior to the run. Participants are
advised not to attend the event should they have fever, cough, breathing difficulties or
severe muscle ache.
8.3. Participants are advised to consult their medical practitioner to certify them fit to
participate in the event. Participants who have doubts about their suitability to
participate in this event (e.g. those on medication or those who have had recent health
complaints) are advised to consult their medical practitioner prior to participation in the
event.
8.4. To minimize injuries, always do at least 15 minutes of warm-up/stretching before the
start and at the end of your trainings and on the race day. Participants are advised
against the consumption of alcohol or stimulants or any kind of drugs within 24 hours of
the race day. Participants are advised to dress lightly for the run and ensure that they
are well-rested & hydrated on the day of the event.
9. Prize Winners
9.1. Winners will be determined based on timing reflected by the timing chip(Net time)
9.2. All prize winners must report to the FTKLAA booth within 30 minutes after
completing the race
9.3. All winners must go through a series of doping test. Failure to comply may result in
disqualification.
9.4. All prize winners must pass the doping test according to the WADA guidelines.
10. HSN21KM Elite Pen

10.1. To qualify for entry to the HSN21KM elite pen, participants must provide proof
of personal best (e-certs or acknowledgement from international sport
federations).
10.2. The organizer reserves all rights to select the runners who qualify into the elite
pen.
10.3. Limited to only 200 elite runners for 21KM and 10KM respectively
10.4. Elite runners who wish to apply to enter the elite pen must submit proof of
personal best (e-cert) to elitepen@hsn21km.com before 30th of July 2017
10.5. The timing set to qualify for the selection of HSN21KM Elite Pen runners are as
follow:
 Men’s 21km (Open Category) – 1 hour 30 minutes and below
 Women’s 21km (Open Category) – 1 hour 50 minutes and below
 Men’s 21km (Veteran Category) – 1hour 45 minutes and below
 Women’s 21km (Veteran Category) – 2 hours 05 minutes and below
 Men’s 10KM (Open Category) –40 minutes and below
 Women’s 10KM (Open Category) –55 minutes and below
 Men’s 10KM (Veteran Category) –60 minutes and below
 Women’s 10KM (Veteran Category) –1 hour 15 minutes and below
