16 painted clad dimes for prizes' All found
20 Plastic Easter eggs each with 5
silver dimes inside' All found'
So there are still 72 silver coins out there
that maY be found in the next hunt!

A watch face was planted good for a talking Billy
Bass fish as a Uoobie ptize and it was won by

Richard Zabriskie. The most silver dimes (97) were
dug by Irving Smith (minus his -biq foot coil) and
Linda Bennett was second with 69 dimes' (using a 3
inch coil) Erik Kristensen, hving Smith and Jason
Peterbri-nk found nine quarters eactr- Erik also found
three half dollars- Les Baffs recovered two silver
dollars. Jason found four painted dimes and Doug
Wolfm ueller fotrnd three.
The numerous prizes included silver rounds, a silver
coin necklace bought fiom Carl Fismer, a water
holder, a cosmetic lrxrg, u make up bag, a coin kit,
flashlight, carnera, tool kit, floatable eye glass
holderi, sand scoop, hat, calendars, dip dish and- a
treasure book Thanks to the following rnembers who
donated prizes: Richard Zabriski a trat, Joe
Richuiso, talking fish Bob Dobski, cosmetic bag
jewelry to be

used in future hunts and Jim Warnke for the large
Florida calendars. Joe also brought sorne foreign
coins to be sent to Keith Wills in Texas for children's
hunts. Our huntmaster Linda really put on fantastic
hunt, as alwaYs.

The club t"uttity thanks Prez' Tom Dooley for
arranging for the use of the ranch and also acting as
chef and griiling the delicious Polish sausages' We
also thank those who brought the many side dislrcs

such as cakes, salads and other tasy goodies' Did
anybody lose their teeth or sanity on the wastrboard
road? But heY, that's Part of the fun!

summers, archaeologists and

more of the ship, estimated to be
about 120 feet long, in shallow
water near Civil War-era Fort
Plckens on Santa Rosa Island.
State archaeologists located
the Rosario in 1992 under tons of
silt. For six years, however, it
took a back seat to an older wreck
of a Spanish galleon in another
part ofthe bay.
Known as the Emanuel Point
wreck, the galleon sank in 1559,
when Pensacola was first settled
by Europeans, making it the oldest shipwreckyetfound in Florida
