progftIm- The speaker was Cheryl Houghtelin, who
was the executive director of the Historical Society of
Palm Beach County for two years. She spoke about
the past history of our alpa and the advantages of
being a Society member. A special rafile was held for
a $50 one year rnembership and John Presslien was
the lucky winner.

The club wishes to thank Erik Kristensen for

furnishing the microphoue amplifier system also a
$eat big thanks to newlyweds Howard and Rose
Rubright who brought the refreshments including
some oftheir wedding cake!
No srre has found the hidden cache worth $25 as yet

THE MAY HUNT
This one will be different. We will meet at 8 AM
on Sunday, May 26h. in Dreher Park on the
south side of Summit Blvd. The directions are
simple: Drive as though you were going to a club
meeting but instead of turning north at the stop
fighfinto-thezoo roardlum south and follow the
road to the club sign at the hunt site. We will try
to get a pavilion for us but there may not be
enough room for everyone to sit so bring along a
chair. There are a lot of places to hunt where
folks go for picnics and recreation. (and possibly
re-creation) This will also be an opportunity for a
learning lesson for pin pointing targets. We will
have ten covered objects and a contest to see
who can identify the items with a detector. How
good are you at knowing what to dig? Prizes will
be awarded! Bring your own refreshments.
There are rest rooms nearby. Details at the
meeting.
