On Knees- Grounders to Funnel and Separation
On Knees- “Ozzie Drill”; One hop glove work to glove side, front and backhand
Play Catch- Play catch with a partner using proper form; Athletic position, Proper
footwork, Driving/pointing foot/hip/glove/shoulder at partner, Wrist above shoulder,
Follow through, Two Hand Target and Catch(when possible)
“WALL BALL”- Tennis ball throws against wall from a distance to produce ground
balls; working on proper form(Athletic position, Fielding out in front, Tip of Glove
Down, Right/Left footwork, Funnel and Separation
“WALL BALL TURN 2”- Tennis ball throws against wall from a closer distance to
produce a line drive return bounce; working on proper form(Athletic position, Quick
Feet, Quick Hands, Concentration
FLY BALLS- Simply tossing the ball up in the air working on getting underneath the
ball and catching a pop up with two hands in the “pocket” of the glove.
SELF CATCH-Simply pounding a baseball into the “pocket” of the glove. Working on
feeling the ball land in the “pocket” while squeezing and securing.
Tee work; if accessible hit balls off a Batting Tee into a net. Working on visualization
and driving the ball up the middle
Dry Swings; simply visualizing an at bat and taking a balanced, attacking swing
Stretch; working on visualization and comfort with proper mechanical repetition. From

THROWDOWN FOOTWORK - Right then Left, Drive Towards 2B, Stay Low, Quick
Hands, Wrist to Ear
