standard type of grilling. The term tandoor is used in both the
ways of cooking may it be round clay oven which is used for

The tandoor is a utensil which has travelled in the places as
Central Asia and the Middle East and also it was very much
popular amongst Romanian folks. In India, the trend of using
tandoor has been extended throughout the periods of Muslim
rule in South Asia till today where people enjoy chicken tikka
masala in everyday dining establishments all over the globe. The meals that are prepared in Tandoor ovens have a
different Smokey taste which is conceived as the result of the clay oven’s style. The heat in the tandoor is
generated from lit coal at the base of the utensil. As the food gets cooked inside, the juice gets to drop down into
its cinders and that forms the flavoured smoke and this is what we call as the trademark of the tandoor. The heat
inside the oven is produced by the charcoal or the wooden fire which is burning in the tandoor itself. The
temperature level should be maintained at approximately 900 degrees F. And it is not at all unusual to stay lit for
extra hours as at that time it preserves its heat.
The typical food items that are prepared in tandoor where some particular Iranian, Afghan, Pakistani and Indian
and some of the popular dishes are chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, bread such as tandoori roti and naan. Chicken
tikka is basically South Asian dish which is prepared with small bits of chicken marinated with spices and curd.
Traditionally, this is boneless and is cooked on tandoor on skewers and it consumes as kebab with green
coriander chutney or it could be used for preparing the curry chicken tikka masala.
Just as the barbeque, the journey to use the tandoor continues unstoppable with serving the Pakistani and Indian
delicacies for numerous taste enhancers in all around the world. Several tandoor manufacturers in the country
