What Happens When You Became 'Born Again’

INTRODUCTION
Now that you are saved, now that you've
confessed the Lordship of Christ over your
spirit, soul and body, what happened to you?
Who have you become? What have you
received? Where do you operate from? What
signs follows you? What dominion do you
have? Is your salvation secured? Are you still
cursed and under demonic bondage? Etc.

METAMORPHOSIS
Butterfly first lives in the form of a larva which
can be found feeding on green leaves, wingless
and worm-like then it enters another womb
(pupa) and it's reborn as a full winged butterfly
which feeds on anthers of flowers. There is no
similarity between the larva and the adult
butterfly after that rebirth because of the utter
transformation which takes place during the
rebirth of the butterfly. Like that natural
metamorphosis, we experience another rebirth
when we become born again and who we were
become totally lost in what we've become.

YOU ARE BORN OF THE SPIRIT
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That
which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that
which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not
that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou
hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell
whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is
every one that is born of the Spirit. John 3:5-8
When you were born by your parents, you
were born in the flesh and you are flesh but
when you become born again, you were born
in the spirit by the spirit of God.
You are no longer flesh and blood though you
are clothed in flesh and blood. Don't talk like
life flesh and blood; don't behave like the
carnal man because you are spirit.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,
they are the sons of God. Rom. 8:14
Now we have received, not the spirit of the
world, but the spirit which is of God; that we
might know the things that are freely given to
us of God. 1 Cor. 2:12

As a spirit, God has given you His spirit to lead
you, the desires of your flesh no longer rules
over you, now your desires is that of the spirit
and your longings is that impressed by the
Spirit of God into your spirit and the spirit
feeds on the word therefore is can be said that
you are also born of God's word.
YOU ARE BORN OF THE WORD
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but
of incorruptible, by the word of God, which
liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as
grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of
grass. The grass withereth, and the flower
thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord
endureth for ever. And this is the word which
by the gospel is preached unto you. 1Peter
1:23-25
Just as Christ is God's word made flesh, so are
you God's word made flesh. You've been born
of the word and your destiny and directions in
life is revealed solely in God's word. This why
you must learn to read and apply God's word
daily in your life because by that word you
live, move and have your being.

But he answered and said, It is written, Man
shall not live by bread alone, but by every
word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Matt. 4:4
Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the
book it is written of me. Psalms 40:7
Everything about your life is as it has been
written in the scriptures. Don't judge your
destiny and direction in life outside God's
word from henceforth. Always remember, you
are now God's word becoming flesh. Therefore
you must subject to the ministry of the word;
attend Bible studies, listen to sermons and
immerse yourself into God's word.

WHAT DID YOU RECEIVE WHEN YOU
BECAME BORN AGAIN
1. FORGIVENESS OF SIN: To open their
eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light,
and from the power of Satan unto God, that
they may receive forgiveness of sins…Acts
26:18.
No matter how evil your sins were, you have
access to forgiveness of sin. Paul the apostle
was forgiven though he murdered Stephen
and many other Christians, persecuting the
church. If God can forgive a man like that, then
there is forgiveness for everyone. When you
became born again, you've received
forgiveness of sin for whatever past sins and
mistakes that you've done, no matter how
terrible such sins were. In fact before God you
have been justified and your past erased and
you are a new creature and the first day after
you gave your life to Christ is your first day to a
new life.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold,
all things are become new. 2 Cor. 5:17

2. JOY: Restore unto me the joy of thy
salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
Ps 51:12.
When you become born again, God gave you
access to joy unspeakable irrespective of your
circumstance and conditions(Although the fig
tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in
the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and
the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be
cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd
in the stalls: Habakkuk 3:17). That joy is your
stronghold against the devil (Neh. 8:10) and
your access to other miracles and divine
provisions (Isaiah 12:3). Joy isn't the product of
victory or success for the Christian joy is the
means of victory and success. A Christian's
victory and success is his joy. Never lose your
joy, once you do, you've lost the power to
maintain the Christian faith. You can decide
today never to lose your joy and you won't lose
your joy as long as you don't place the reason
of your joy on man (your spouse, mother,
father, friend and the society etc.) or
circumstances. Place your joy solely on God.
Do you feel this joy in your spirit right now? It's
what you received because you are born again
and you should maintain all the days of your

life if you want to live in victory and
prosperity.
3. POWER: But as many as received him, to
them gave he power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name: John
1:12.
We immediately inherit power when we
become born again, power over all the forces of
darkness, diseases, and immunity over any
weapon formed against you. (Mark 16:17,
Isaiah 54:17). Now that you are born again,
you've been empowered by God, and your
limitation in life is only that you placed before
yourself through doubt. Whatever you believe
you can achieve, you can because you've been
empowered to overcome every odds in life;
whether spiritual or physical. And Jesus said
unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily
I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of
mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain,
Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall
remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto
you. Matt. 17:20
4. THE HOLY SPIRIT: While Peter yet spake
these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them
which heard the word. And they of the

circumcision which believed were astonished,
as many as came with Peter, because that on
the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the
Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with
tongues, and magnify God. Then answered
Peter, Acts 10:44-46.
This is the greatest inheritance from the Father
unto us. The Holy Spirit comes to live in us (1
Cor. 3:16), to fellowship with us (2 Cor. 13:14)
direct us (Rom. 8:14), help and comfort us
(John 15:26) so that we'll never be confused in
life or live like destitute, heal our bodies so that
we'll always live in divine health (Rom 8:11),
teaching us all things so that we'll know all
things (John 14:26), and enduing us with the
ability to pray in the spirit (Jude 20).
