iOS Telemetry

After scratching my head for days i finally found a way to connect any
iNAV, Betaflight or Cleanflight controller to any iOS device using Mobile
Flight app (Android may work too ). You will be able to see full telemetry,
GPS coordinates ,navigation waypoints change and change setting via
DragonLink.

You will need a cheap wifi module ESP8266 from Aliexpress or BG.

Be very carefully with the voltage for the different
modules!!

I have all three modules and they works fine. First 2 have to be
programed with Mavlink dogmaphobic firmware .

NodeMCU is very easy to program because of the USB port , for
es8266-01 module you will need a ftdi or serial to usb adapter.
The last one JMT 3DR module doesn’t need programing it work out of
the box.
To connect successfully you will need to know the baud rate of
every of the modules NodeMCU and ESP8266 come with
115200bps by default you can change it if you want ,but better
leave the default values.
The JMT module come with 57600bps By default.
Your DL TX “Expansion port ” baud must be the same as your
wifi module .

The flight controller i use is Omnibus F4 V3 Pro from Aliexpress

Now you have to configure your DL TX ,RX and FC in GUI and
iNAV Configurator.

First start with iNAV Configurator.

Ports Configuration

Telemetry and MSP baud on the used UART must be same as your DL
telemetry baud

I don’t use softserial, but you can use it if needed.

DragonLink Transmitter GUI

The baudrate of the EXP port must match the baudrate of your wifi module.
Don’t forget to rebind when you make changes in GUI !!!

DragonLink Receiver GUI

I don’t use the EXP port of the RX but i’ve configured pin 9 and 10 as IN
(RX) and OUT (TX). Feel free to configure your custom pins.

DragonLink to WiFi connections

JMT 3DR module use 5V , but work well with 3V supplied by
DragonLink transmitter.

If your module is ESP8266 connect to “Pixracer” red with your
iOS device
If your module is JMT 3DR connect to “APM Wifi”
In Mobile Flight app enter corresponding settings depending of
your module
