National security degrees

A country, when put simply, is a mass of land, in which everything inside its borders belongs to the people and the government
of the nation. This not only includes the land, the resources, and the people within the border, but also the ideas, the governing
institutes, and the laws that nation has agreed upon to protect its inhabitants. While a neighboring nation may not pose a direct
threat, an invasion could spell disaster and change a country’s way of life completely. Whether or not invasion is on the horizon,
it’s always better to be prepared, which is why national security exists.

What is National Security?
National security is about protecting the nation and its inhabitants from threats that are both foreign and domestic. It’s about
protecting the borders and everything inside the borders. It’s about having a strategy ready in time of war, should it arise, but

No matter if it’s a time for peace or a time for war, a nation should always be prepared. Preparation can come in many forms,
but intelligence is one of the greatest way to be prepared for anything. Intelligence also can come in many forms and can also
be difficult to obtain. Due to the nature of intelligence gathering, many countries see that this is unethical, so gathering
intelligence is kept secret from the nation intelligence is being gathered on. Gathering intelligence from other nations allows the
home nation to understand the agenda of the foreign nation, as well as the force they may have and the resources they have
access to.

How Does National Security Protect the Nation from Inside?
Many branches of the government are set in play to help protect the nation from threats trying to enter the nation. Branches like
Border Patrol stop individuals from illegally entering the nation, while Customs stop illegal or dangerous items from entering the
nation as well. A good national security policy also looks at foreign relations, both past and present, to determine which national
relationship may be the weakest and most likely to cause turmoil.

How Does One Learn About National Security?

security. So much so that to really get a feel of national security, one should apply themselves to attain a National Security
