An introduction to open source software development and communities. For the term project I chose to
contribute to the Folsom Library Occupancy Monitor, a web application that allows the students and library
staff at RPI to visualize the occupancy and gather usage statistics of private study rooms in Folsom Library.
• Introduction to Human Computer Interaction – Spring 2019
An introduction to interface design and heuristics. For the final project of the course, I chose to redesign the
Berkshire Hathaway website by applying a curated set of design heuristics.
• Principles of Software (Java 8) – Spring 2019
Topics included software specification, abstraction with classes, design principles and patterns, testing,
refactoring, the software development process, and GUI and event-driven programming.
• Introduction to Algorithms – Spring 2019
This course was an introduction to data structures and algorithms as well as mathematical techniques for
designing algorithms and analyzing worst-case and expected-case algorithm efficiency.

An introduction to core programming concepts, mathematical tools, data structures and their
representations, and algorithms.
