It didn’t seem like a problem to me, as
my life was going fine.

baptism testimony
“For as long as I remember, I was
brought to church by my parents,
attended Sunday School and services,
went to AWANA, and did all the things a
‘good’ Christian would do. This led me
to accept Christ at VBS in the summer
of 2012. Listening to the stories of Jesus
coming to save us and all His miracles, it
seemed the right thing to do; but part of
me never fully understood the purpose
of what I was doing. I continued to live
my life outside of church, but without
much of a relationship with Jesus.

Middle school brought more
responsibilities, along with extra stress
and peer pressure that I couldn’t handle
by myself. Combined with the issues
around Hong Kong, I felt like I had no
control over anything, anymore. That’s
when I realized, I did have no control—
I needed God to take control of my
life. I continued to pray for Jesus to be
the center of my life. While I fully trust
God, there are still conflicts and hard
times; however, my attitude and thought
process for everything has changed. I no
longer feel overwhelmed. God has a
plan for me, and He will always be by
my side. I felt moved to use my musical
abilities to serve at KIBC on the praise
team. Only now do I truly understand
how amazing God’s guidance, wisdom,
and protection can be.

After attending the Starting Point Class, I
knew I wanted to be baptized to tell
everyone else about my commitment to
serving Jesus, and proclaim He is my
One and only Lord and Savior!" - Justin

women’s Bible study
Thursdays in January | 10:30am-12pm
Carole Tanner, leader
The Israelites had grown from a family of
seventy to over two million people while
they were living as slaves in Egypt.
Hearing their cries for help, God raised a
leader—Moses—to bring them out of that
land. Exodus reveals an amazing series
of miracles from the crossing of the Red
Sea to Mount Sinai. Most of Exodus
covers a period of time less than two
years, but during that time, God reveals
much about His character, His awesome
power, and His faithfulness to keep His
promises.

Hymn 87: Joy to the World

Begin the study of the Old Testament
book of Exodus with us in January!

Two identical worship services at KIBC—
includes music from Adult and Children’s
Christmas Choirs and Praise Team.

The word Advent comes from the Latin
word adventus, meaning “coming,” and
refers to the four weeks before Christmas
when we prepare for the Christmas season
and reflect on the meaning of the coming of
Christ. In KIBC, we light a candle each
Sunday to remind us of the names of Christ
found in Isaiah 9:6—“He shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.”

Mission Giving Goal: $1,000,000
Gifts-to-date: $320,151

Will you pray and ask God how He would
like to use you to share Christ around the
world through your giving?
