Personal Statement
I am a student at University of Bath, where I study Politics with Economics. I’ve just finished
my first year on track for a 2:1 (final results pending). I’m friendly and down to earth, looking
for a job to get some further experience in the work place over the summer. My involvement
in politics and the debate associated with it has made me a very confident communicator; a
skill I feel is very transferable to the customer service industry, as well as any team orientated
work environment. I’m also very familiar with computers, not only with MS Word etc. but also
in terms of fixing common software problems.

Interests and Achievements
I love sports and being active. I cycled from Vancouver, Canada to Washington D.C., USA from
July 2011 to January 2012, it was a 3000+ mile journey and very challenging in places, but
was also an amazing experience. I’m currently playing American Football for Bath University in
the top division of British Universities & Colleges Sport. In American Football each player has
their own task each play and you all rely on each other, this element of the team sport has
taught me the value of acting as a unit, and I feel this is transferable to the workplace. I also
do weight lifting 3-5 times a week, and have to be self-motivated and disciplined in my diet
and tracking my strength progress.
