MAXIMIZING ASSET PERFORMANCE

Designed by Maintenance Professionals
for Maintenance Professionals, TabWare is
Easy to Learn, Easy to Use, and Easy to Own!

MAXIMIZING ASSET PERFORMANCE

One of the major benefits of TabWare is its flexibility - it adapts
to your work environment so that you don’t have to change the way
you work to use it.

CORE MODULES
The Equipment Module is the repository for information on
assets including mfgr. information, specifications, purchasing information,
warranty, multiple meters, cost history and etc. Other TabWare modules use
this information to create work orders, perform scheduling activities, and
track equipment history. The Equipment Module tracks equipment by
location and serial number, and it provides a hierarchy for assemblies,
subassemblies and parts. The hierarchy also defines a cost rollup structure.
It also provides the ability to link and view applicable vendor drawings,
documents and other information.
The Work Order Module provides complete work process
management from quick and easy initiation of work orders through
work planning, scheduling, execution, and completion. A work breakdown
structure (WBS) is provided to divide work into tasks and subtasks with
complete cost rollup. Tasks and subtasks can be independently planned
and scheduled. Routes for lubrication, inspection and etc., are
also supported.
The Preventive Maintenance Module generates
PM work orders that can be scheduled based on time and/or units.
PM Master Plans describe the resources and materials required and
have links to assets and equipment via a schedule record. Roll-up
of calendar based PM is provided. This module includes development of equipment-oriented procedures for repetitive use with
rebuilds, inspections, calibrations, and other repetitive-type work.

The Inventory Module provides tracking of MRO inventory
including multiple plant and multiple storeroom environments. This
module maintains cost and transaction history and can generate reports
on inventory valuation, balances, and usage levels to determine the
optimum stocking levels for your operation. Stock, non-stock and
repairable items are effectively managed with this module.
The Event Tracking Module tracks any type of event that occurs
within a plant, including accidents, emissions, inspections, corrective actions,
audits, work orders, and etc. This module tracks documentation of events,
including information for regulatory reports, internal reports, documents,
and drawings. This module also captures component, condition and action
codes for analysis and allows users to create follow-up work orders for
corrective action. This module also supports logs and blogs to capture a
complete history on virtually any topic including attendance and shift notes.

The Scheduling Module facilitates schedules by selecting work
orders from the backlog and dropping them into a schedule. Schedules
can be based on work assigned to a particular supervisor, work for a given
geographical area, or other criteria. The Scheduling Module allows users to
set resource levels and develop "what-if" scenarios. A hierarchy of schedules
can be created and work can be “dragged and dropped” from one schedule
to another. Graphical resource leveling allows users to see planned and
available resources at a glance.

The Resource Module provides basic information for employees
and contractors including contact information, individual skills, pay scales,
craft certifications, job classifications, approval authority, roles within TabWare,
training history, and employee related documents. (available to support a
multi-skill work environment)

The Requisition Module is used to enter requests for goods
and services. Links with the Work Order Module to allow the user to plan
the resources needed while simultaneously creating a requisition. The
user can then route the requisition for review and approval. After approval,
the process begins for deciding source of supply and making delivery
at the time and place requested. The source of supply can be an internal
storeroom or an outside supplier. Also costs can be spread over several
accounts for each line on the requisition.
The Purchasing Module employs a unique one-stop shopping
approach that combines work order planning for materials, tools, services,
and purchasing requisitions. It tracks all requisitions from initial entry
and approval through purchase order (PO) issue, receipts, and invoicing.
Change orders and blanket orders are supported, and an expediting
mechanism tracks orders from PO issue to receipt. Once POs
are issued, TabWare can electronically transmit them to suppliers.
The unique Buyers Backlog feature enhances buyer productivity and allows
each buyer to expedite requests through the system for enhanced efficiency.
The Multiple Warehousing Module supports multiple
locations, warehouses, and/or storerooms within a single plant with the ability
to transfer material between them. An item within a given warehouse can be
assigned multiple bins, and quantities are kept at the bin level. Storerooms
can be designated to supply items for specific equipment.
The Invoice Matching Module provides the ability to match
invoices with POs and invoiced costs not associated with a PO. Three types
of vouchers are processed in the system: an invoice associated with a PO, a
direct-charge invoice, and a credit memo. The invoice cost transactions can be
extracted and interfaced with external systems. TabWare Xi supports two-way
and three-way invoice matching with payment authorization transactions
generated for accounting.
The Setup Module enables you to customize program options for each
of the TabWare modules. Using the setup controls, you can establish user
settings, including window color schemes, passwords, and individual language
selection for each user. You also use the Setup Module to define custom
elements, equipment classes, failure analysis codes, setup of valid values
used with validated data elements, and cost periods.
The Security Module provides complete access security at the function,
window and the data element levels. User groups are defined by role with
access permissions for visibility, usage, display, and/or update for each panel and
element. All system users must be identified within the Security Module and
then assigned to one or more user groups.
