I think not on any other, and forsake even closest brother.
For He deserves my very best, my all in all, and nothing less.
And His dear heart I would not distress
By giving Him not my complete redress.
Worship is a wonderful thing, that we can bring before our King.
If our hearts are pure and united, without malice or divided,
filled with reverence and humility, and tender love for all
humanity; wanng to share Christ unbridedly,

Even though we celebrate the Anniversary of (New Beginnings) our work together (God and His People) on the
very first weekend in October, in essence each year we have a unique opportunity to do more than just look back.
Our faith demands us to constantly re-evaluate what the Lord of Lords wants us to do tomorrow. This assessment
is so critical that the Bible tells us that we do it in a certain frame of mind.
Paul tells the church in Philippi to “continue to work on your salvation with fear and trembling” Philippians 2:12.
Paul says it this way not to scare people with a mandate of fear about what the future may hold rather he has recognized at a deep, purposeful, level that it is ultimately God who works in him…in them and finally us to fulfill
what God’s purposes are. It is like he is really beginning to believe in the faith that he has claimed and has come to
this great realization that we really are not in this alone; that God truly is in our midst to bring about the good
that can only come from God.
This is great news! No! This is not just great news, this is transformational news! And just in the nick of time for
all of us who live in the 21st century, because we live in a society that often seems dominated by the voices of secular humanists which celebrate a philosophy of man’s accomplishments at the expense of everything else. This
thinking, this kind of belief of a pre-eminent position devoid of any significance to the role of God in one’s life leaves
one with the idea that we are finally alone.
No… Anniversaries, especially spiritual ones like what we celebrate in the Church of Jesus Christ when a congregation gets a moment to reflect on its humble beginnings, are gently reminded, prayerfully revived, and boldly
pointed to the fact that we are in this together, and that our togetherness is fashioned and cultivated by the One
who spins the universe. This One is the lover of our souls and will never leave us, nor forsake us and for this we
truly can look back, as we strain to look ahead and be thankful!
With all of His blessings and expectations for an unbelievable 15th year together!

World Psoriasis Day in October
October recognizes World Psoriasis Day to help raise the awareness of the 125 million people with psoriasis,
to encourage healthcare systems, physicians, governments, carers and all those responsible for psoriasis care
to allow psoriasis sufferers access to opmum therapy, to educate people about the condion, and build a
unity among the psoriasis community. Psoriasis can affect one’s quality of life by increasing his/her risk of
low self esteem, depression, social isolaon, and problems at work, which can lead to a lower income.
What is psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a common skin condion that changes the life cycle of skin cells. Psoriasis causes cells to build up
rapidly on the surface of the skin. A normal skin cell matures in 28 to 30 days and shed from the skin unnoced. Psoriac skin cells mature within seven days. The extra skin cells form thick, silvery scales and itchy,
dry, red patches that are someme painful. Psoriasis is a persistent, long-lasng (chronic) disease. There may
be me when the symptoms get be=er alternang with mes it worsens. The primary goal of treatment is to
stop the skin cells from growing so quickly.
Who gets psoriasis?
Nearly three percent of the world’s populaon endure the symptoms of psoriasis. It can develop in males or
females of any ethnicity or age. It o;en appears between the ages of 15 and 35, although it can strike at any
age including infants and the elderly.
What causes psoriasis?
The exact causes of psoriasis have not yet been determined, but it has been confirmed that it is an autoimmune disease, meaning that part of the body’s own immune system becomes overacve and a=acks normal
ssues in the body. The disease has a hereditary predisposion, meaning it can run in families. Psoriasis is
not contagious.
What are the signs and symptoms of psoriasis?
Red patches of skin covered with silvery scales; small scaling spots (o;en seen in children); dry, cracked skin
that may bleed; itching, burning or soreness; thickened, pi=ed or ridged nails; and swollen and sff joints.
Signs and symptoms can vary from person to person. Patches can range from a few spots of dandruff-like
scaling to major erupons that cover large areas. Patches are typically found on the elbows, knees, scalp,
lower back, face, palms and soles but can affect other places( fingernails, toenails, mouth). Most types of
psoriasis go through cycle, flaring for a few weeks or months, then subsiding for a me or even going into
complete remission.
What are the types of psoriasis?
Plaque psoriasis is the most common. Other types of psoriasis include: Nail, scalp, gu=ate, inverse, pustular,
and erythrodermic. Psoriac arthris is an inflammatory type of arthris that eventually occurs in 10 to 20
per cent of people with psoriasis.
How is psoriasis diagnosed and treated?
Because psoriasis can be confused with other skin diseases, it is o;en best diagnosed by a dermatologist. The
treatment of psoriasis usually depends on the extent of the disease or its severity or locaon. Treatments
range from creams and ointments applied to the affected areas to ultraviolet light therapy to treatment with
drugs( such as methotrexate) Psoriasis may be associated with serious health condions, such as diabetes,
heart disease, and depression. Psoriac arthris can be difficult from other types of arthris, so a rheumatologist is o;en the best doctor to diagnose it. The treatment of psoriac arthris usually involves treatment
with drugs ( such as methotrexate).
