Rotaractors were divided into groups

Members of Rotaract Club of MCKV
Institute of Engineering followed this
initiative of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan
at Howrah Station Subway and nearby
area on 20th January, 2015 from 12
P.M. to 1:30 P.M. initiated by our Prime
Minister, Sri Narendra Modi under the
Govt. of India. There were 40
Rotaractors, College faculty members,
Administrative Staffs, Dean, Students
affairs Prof. Dr. A.K. Jalan sir,
Principal Prof. Dr. Asok Kumar Sir and
Director Prof. Dr. Parasar
Bandyopadhyay Sir involved in this
project that took place in the Howrah

of five and these groups spread inside
and nearby Howrah Station area with
brooms, banners, brushes, dirtpickers, movable dustbins, placards,
bleaching powder etc. to clean the
surrounding areas and also create
awareness among the people to
support this initiative of social and
personal hygiene and help make our
country a better place to live in. At
the same time we maintained personal
hygiene by making use of sterilized
gloves, medicated facial masks and
aprons. The best part of the project
was the immediate reaction of the

public to our action. Various media
persons were also their and supporting
our noble cause. Seeing us following
this initiative, we could see people
refrained from their habit of littering
around as a mark of respect to our
efforts. This was how we had a
successfully concluded project.
