GRAND PATRIARCH'S
MESSAGE
Greetings to All Members,

We were able to complete our
Royal Purple Degree in Deny ,
with 10 new members receiving
the degree to now become active
in their encampments. Yes mother
nature again served us with freezing rain on the trip home which
took an extra hour to make it
Along the way a car off the road
and a near miss of a car coming
behind us caused some quick heart
beats.
Busy schedules all over New
England with many annual sessions of all of our units and the
road of Odd Fellowship will be
traveled, even with the rise in
those gas prices to meet and greet
friends we don't see on a regular
basis and to gain the acquaintances of new ones.
I like all of you await spring and
all it's glorious color of flowers
and green. It has been a long time
in coming.
Here in New Hampshire we
have our annual Sessions in April

APRIL

of the Department Council and
Department Association , then the
Grand Lodge and Rebekah Assembly. On May 9th the Grand
Encampment.
News of our Grand Encampment session will be soon coming
and my year soon to be over.
These past three years I have been
able to travel and represent NH
have been indeed a pleasure.

GRAND MASTER'S
MESSAGE
Greetings brothers and sisters of
NHIOOF.
This is my last communication
to you as Grand Master. I want to
express my feelings of joy and
thanks for all the support and effort put in by my officers and the
lodges in making New Hampshire
Oddfellowship successful this
year.
We had a lot of fun and had
some meaningful discussions. I

2015

was asked what I felt my greatest
achievement was during my term.
I'd like to think it was reaching out
around the state and helping
lodges recruit new members and
supporting events around the state.
I want to also express how
pleased I am that I had such a
wonderful relationship with the
President "Flo" Koerbel and her
staff in the Assembly of Rebekah's
in NH. Thank you all for your
kind and liberal support.
This has been a very memorable
year for me, and now I get to soon
pass on the office of leadership of
NH IOOF to another and G-d willing shall be successful for years
and years to come.

REBEKAH ASSEMBLY
SESSION
The 117th annual Session will
be held on Friday, April 24 and
Saturday the 25th.
Each Rebekah Lodge should
have a delegate representing them.
All PNG's are encouraged to attend helping make decisions of the
Assembly business and future.
Officers will be seated on Friday
at 9:00 AM. And Assembly
opened at 8:30 AM on Saturday
The Assembly Degree will conferred after opening on Friday.
Immediately after the degree the
Assembly will be lowered to the
Rebekah Degree. Members will
have a special insignia when registering. They will have voice but no
vote and seated in a designated
area.
Incoming officers will meet
Thursday evening the 23rd at 7:30
PM with Sandra Marston
REGISTRATION
You must show a current Official
dues card registration is $ 10.00
Memorial Service will be held
Friday immediately after lunch.
Please send names, date joined,
date deceased and highest rank to
Assembly Secretary Marion Russell.
Installation of Officers will be
held Saturday immediately after
the close of session.

increase and our attendance has

The 170th annual Session of the
Grand Lodge on Aril 24th and
25th. The session will be held in
the Rose Room , lower level of
the main building at 2:00 PM on
Friday and opened on Saturday at
9:00AM.

As you all know, our Assembly
Session is fast approaching! We all
hope everyone is looking forward
to the Friday Night Raffle & Fun
Fest that all of our members are
planning.
You can help tremendously by
remembering to bring items for
the raffle. We especially need
items of interest to the men who
will be attending!
We all need to get out in support
of our Scholarship Fund

REGISTRATION
Will begin at 1:00 AM Friday
and 8:00AM Saturday. Badge fee
for registration is $5.00. Badges
are only purchased once but a
member must register each day.
A unexpired dues card MUST be
shown to register.
Third Degree Members in good
standing are eligible to attend ,
having voice but no vote and will
be admitted after the Grand Lodge
has lowered the 3rd degree. Seating will be in a designated area.
MEMORIAL SERVICE
The Grand Chaplain requests all
deceased members names, date of
deceased, date joined and highest
rank , that they may be included in
the a memorial Service.
INSTALATION OF OFFICERS
Installation will be conducted
within the Rose Room immediately following the session's order
of business and prior to closing the
Grand Lodge followed by the presentations of jewels.
The session will be called back
to order for the Presentation of the
Grand Master's program. The session will then be officially closed.

REBEKAH ASSEMBLY'S
PRESIDENTS WORDS
To All our members,
I would like to thank everyone
for their support and hospitality
shown to me this past year as I
served as your President.
We need to become more efficient within our lodges in our
procedures and ever strive to increase our membership by Asking others to join us. If we make
the effort to demonstrate and
show what we do in our community we can grow and move forward into the future. Each of us
must accept responsibility to
make this happen.
Sessions will soon be before us.
I am asking each lodge to participate in our theme basket raffle as
well as welcome individual baskets. These will be raffled off as
we have in the past, with tickets
$5.00 for 1 and $10,000 for 3.
The President's table needs
your support from lodges and
members as well . These items
will be marked for sale and there
are already lovely items that will
be available.
A special raffle of selected
items will also have raffle tickets
sold for $5.00 each.
Our individual Ways and
Means items brought will be as
we have done in our District
Meetings and tickets will be sold
for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
The requests are many but as
cost rises each year of the cost of
the Assembly and fewer members are attending your support is
urgently needed.
District Deputy Presidents your
Assembly material was to have
been returned and some need to
be done as soon as possible , that
the Secretary can prepare them
for 2015 -2016 DDP's . Your reports to the President also need
to be sent that they may be included in our Assembly journal.
These along with the Community
Service reports can also be sent
to me at 15 Garry's Way , Meredith, 03253 as our chairman is
unable to complete the report at
this time. Many of you do wonderful volunteer work and we
need to show others all the dif-

ference we make within our communities.
Looking forward to a wonderful session and welcoming our
International visitor, Dorothy
Laycock, PP LARA for a special
visit as well as of all the wonderful sisters and brothers of New
Hampshire and visitors from the
Northeast It will be a wonderful

Independent Order of Odd Fellows in Baltimore Maryland. All
units are encouraged to hold special festivities to celebrate the
day with a degree Day, Anniversary Ball or Community projects

DIFFERENCE IN SOME WAY

When Frank arrived at the Pearly Gates, he found
himself standing face to face with an impressive angelic
being holding a clipboard. The angel told Frank he needed
to get some "entry data". ,
"Frank," the angel said, "It would help if you could
identify one experience on earth where you performed
a courageous, unselfish deed'. Frank thought for a few
seconds and then said, "Well, one day as I was walking,
I came upon an old woman who was being attacked by
motorcycle gang members. As they were smacking her
around, I stepped up and pushed over one of the cycles
- but only to distract them. Then I kicked one of them real
hard on the shins, and pushed him into the others, and
showed for ^
put my fist right into the biggest guy's stomach. I think the
woman made it to safety.
"Wow," the angel replied, "that's very impressive".
Then, with pen poised on his clipboard, he asked, "When .
did this happen?"
Frank looked at his watch and replied, "Oh, two or
three minutes ago."
Rarely will it take a fist-o-cuffs to "Make a Difference"
in another person's life. There are many things that each
of us already have in our lives that we can share with
others that they really need. Just take a look around you
with the thought of sharing fixed firmly in your mind. You
will be amazed at how much you will begin to see as the
fog of your everyday life slowly begins to clear
