Movie Locations In all honesty, I‟d never heard of the books and was highly skeptical
of the show when I saw the promos. But oh boy, I‟m a believer now. Great casting,
well acted, sufficiently creepy and above all, fun! Looking forward to tonight‟s
episode, very happy it was renewed.
Please in the name of Lisa Ann, this show is awesome, just man up the main
character a bit, please. His female acting is killing us and it‟s way too much soft,
gentle and “ineedskirt” (nothing against the gey community). I recommend it to all of
my friends, but they all said “This dude need to man up soon” it‟s just become
annoying. The way he speaks everrrytime, no matter what he say is like: “Sir, don‟t
beat me with your belt i just want a bottle of water”. I understand that‟s the book, but
WAY TOO MUCH guys i already expect him to cry at every second of the movie.
Hope girls not start to spank him on the street… Me personaly few more episodes
and if he keep acting that way i probably will give up watching the show.
I love this show but I feel as if the story progression is toooo fast. I just want to see
them goofing around at Brakebills learning, and throw some terror in here and there
and then build up to the big baddie at the end of the season. Though who knows it
might work out this way.
I binge watched the first 6 episodes, then got the book. I think I am glad I did it in this
order. The show isn‟t following the book but it is bringing in enough elements that it
kind of is. I think the writing for the show has made it faster paced and more
interesting. Penny and Julia have major differences and both are more interesting on
the show than in the book. The Kady line is new, but woven in nicely. Since Q didn‟t
take the magical trip back to Brakebills I am wondering if Kady will. I can‟t wait to
finish the book, and am looking forward to Season 2.
Pretty Amazing show, could you please bump up their magician dynamics. I feel its
going to be a story where something will happen and they wont be ready and they‟ll
hardly pull it off. the typical story. I hope they get to a point where they are truly
dynamic and as a team, unstoppable. This can lead to more powerful enemies and
worlds. I know i‟m speaking too soon but we‟re already so many episodes in and I
would hate to see the series die. 10 more seasons please!!!
The show is missing heart in my opinion. Yeah the show does have funny parts. It‟s
humor coming from the wrong places, it needs the comic relief of an Andy Dwyeresque character; Josh. Elliot is funny but in a very sarcastic way and is extremely
underused. Josh isn‟t the smartest, but he is the most fun. The one flaw with this
show, so far, it‟s trying to hard to be fun. The books were dark and downright
depressing. Quentin isn‟t suppose to be likeable he is just suppose to be relatable.
The “shake it off” bit in last week was cute, but that was not in the core of Q‟s
character. That‟s Josh, he would unabashedly listen to Taylor Swift and defend it (no
matter how flawed it maybe. [yes I know it was a dream sequence]). So in
conclusion, please cast Josh for season 2 and give me an audition date for it. Yes I
know fan boys don‟t necessarily make good choices but I really can act and I know
My husband and I love this show, but the scene with Cancer Kitten almost made him
turn the channel. We are both animal lovers (cats especially) but he was not happy
with that scene at all. If you had not cut away when you did then you would have lost
us as viewers. I‟m hoping this doesn‟t happen again. I under stand there was a point
to be made in the story, but it could have been made some other way.Despite that
one scene the show is marvelously written and acted.
I loved the first 2 episodes but where are they going with ep.3, other than out in left
field?? I know it‟s never EXACTLY like the books but I was hoping for it to be along
the same wave length. Hopefully they will delve more into Fillarie and leave the
magicians against hedge witches fight alone. We get it, they don‟t like each other.
Get back to the good parts of the book.
I just saw the 1st episode. I think I‟m hooked, but missed the next 2 episodes and
episode 4 is on tonight. I got it on DVR now just in case I miss it. but I need to find
episode 2 and 3 first. Any thoughts where I can go to recap those lost episodes.
Netflix is a no go. Probably Hulu huh?
So glad! I adore this show! I watched the first episode in the sneak/early release and
it was like torture waiting for it to “come back”. I also didn‟t know it was based on
books. I read a sample and am definitely a fan of what I read so far-great writing style
and mirrored some of my own thoughts-about getting lost in a fictional world.
Would love to watch more of this, but Syfy has all but the first four episodes blocked
on their website and requires a cable/dish login, which most people my age have cut
the cord on, so to speak. I wish they had a partnership with HuluPlus or another way;
it‟s unfortunate for them to alienate so many potential viewers.
I actually love this show, it‟s not just the magical elements that are interesting. I think
the characters are brilliant; completely humanized individuals with fucked up „real‟
issues. Q constantly has me thinking of an old psyche class lol.
Am I the only one who thinks the adaptation is better than the book?
There doesn‟t seem to be any point to book–no clear driving force of motivation, no
distinct and awesome antagonist (aside from Martin–who hardly makes an
