[Zhinthe’ho: Elder brother],
I lie down in the way of
those who haul [wamu’çke
çkithe: cookies], and I pretend to be [t’e: dead].

When they throw me into the [zhonmonthin:
wagon], I lie there kicking the [wamu’çke
çkithe: cookies] out. Then I leap out and start
[ti gthe: home] eating.
It is the [wamu’çke çkithe: cookies] which
have made me [shin: fat].

Then [Mi’kaçi: Coyote] went to the place and
lay down in the uhe: path.
When the [waxe: white man] came along,
he threw [Mi’kaçi: Coyote]
[paç’inithe: head first] into
the [zhonmonthin: wagon].

[Zhinthe’ho: elder brother], I wish you to do
like-wise. You, [Zhinthe’ho: elder brother],
have large [çi: feet]. I think you will knock
out a great many [wamu’çke çkithe: cookies].

and cut the [ha’zhinga: rope] which bound the loose], he ran [eta thishonagthe: homeward].

white man] left and went into the [ti: house].
