KOWLOON
INTERNATIONAL
BAPTIST CHURCH
November 6, 2016

We welcome you to Kowloon International Baptist Church. Please
take a moment to fill out a guest card and place it in the offering
bag, if this is your first time to worship with us. We are glad you
have joined us today!
The Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper first occurred on the night before Jesus was crucified (Matthew
26:17-30). It was originally a part of a larger meal called the Passover. Baptists
interpret the bread and drink as symbols of the body and blood of Jesus. We continue
this practice based on Jesus’ command, as a way to remember Christ’s death and
resurrection, and look forward to Christ’s Second Coming.
KIBC observes the Lord’s Supper every month and sometimes on other occasions. We
warmly invite to our Lord’s Table all those who are baptized followers of Jesus Christ
who have placed themselves under the authority of Jesus Christ and have been
involved in His Body, the Church. By eating the bread and drinking the cup with us—as
a visitor, attender or member—you are acknowledging that you are a sinner saved by
the grace of our Lord Jesus, and you have trusted in Jesus Christ alone for your
salvation. You are also recommitting your life to following Jesus Christ as your Lord.
If you are not yet a follower of Jesus Christ, we encourage you to refrain from taking
the Lord’s Supper, and instead to use this time to be quiet before God. If you want to
become a follower of Jesus Christ and be baptized, please speak to one of our
deacons or pastors and we will be pleased to discuss your commitment to Jesus Christ
with you. Thank you for sharing this time with the family of God here at KIBC.

Cambodia Mission Trip Fundraising
Members of KIBC will go on a Mission Trip to Cambodia in
late November, and are seeking to raise funds. Visit the bake
sale table outside today and next Sunday! Or, to give directly
to this trip, place donation in an envelope marked “Cambodia
Mission Trip” and put in the offering bag. Thank you for
giving!
