OME HAVE ROCKED THE
WORLD; others have created
unparalleled exhilaration.
In the course of 57 years, a lot can
happen. Since 1959, some of the occurrences include the raising of the Berlin
Wall; the tragic assassination of Martin
Luther King Jr.; U.S. space exploration;
the 9/11 attacks and more.
And Gun World magazine has been there
every year. Take a look at some of these old
covers and relive some of the magazine’s first 57
years.
Here’s to the next 57.

SHOT

TACTICALWALLS RFID MODELS
Gone are the days of leaning home defense guns in a corner or stashing them in an
unlocked drawer. TacticalWalls is ofering a new line of products that allow you to easily stage
firearms around the home without drawing attention to your guns. Better yet, the new RFID
(radio frequency identification) models ofer quick access to those who possess an RFID card
or fob and restrict access for those who don’t.
The stylish mirrors and shelves look good in the home (unlike some other vaults that are
about as subtle as a hide-a-key rock in your yard) and will go unnoticed by visitors. When you

GUN WORLD | MAY 2016 | www.gunworld.com

need your guns, though, the RFID reader will open the vault and allow you rapid access to your
firearms (long guns and pistols), as well as spare ammunition. You can program one key or
fob to all the TacticalWalls in your home, and you can order as many additional keys and fobs
as you need.

A COLLECTION OF SOME OF THE BEST NEW PRODUCTS
FROM THE 2016 SHOOTING, HUNTING AND OUTDOOR TRADE
SHOW IN LAS VEGAS
TEXT AND PHOTOS BY BRAD FITZPATRICK

T

he bulk of the press regarding the annual SHOT
Show in Las Vegas centers around new firearms,
and over the course of the next 12 months,
Gun World readers will be offered in-depth
examinations and field tests of these new guns.
But SHOT isn’t just about guns; there are a number of
other companies offering up innovative new products that are

must-haves for shooters and hunters.
With so much floor space and so many new items, it’s impossible
to cover all the new gear, gadgets and gizmos that are designed to
make life easier and make you a better shooter. However, here’s a
list of eight items that caught our eye—products that would make
great presents for the shooter on your gift list … even
if that shooter is you.

BROWNING BLACK OUT

with firearms, but the company has expanded to
include a wide selection of knives, safes, clothing
and lights. For 2016, this company is launching the
compact Black Out head lamp, which ofers 365
lumens for an efective range of up to 165 yards
and features an LED bulb that never requires
replacement.
There are four brightness modes and a strobe
setting, and the Silent Tilt Hinge allows you to

reposition the

of this light is made o
luminum, which
adds little bulk yet ofers urable exterior for
years of reliable service. Black Out head lamps run
for three hours on high mode, 48 on low and use
