CPSC 1204 -S10 Course Project Proposal
By Zenit Balaj
The topic I wanted to propose to you is an autonomous gold farming script for a java based
game called "Old School Runescape" which is provided at http://oldschool.runescape.com/ and
is built using the OSbot platform https://osbot.org/api/ . OSbot platform offers an API for
developers to interact with the game and allows for any task to be done using methods
In this script features that will be included are:
A controller for interaction between two bots which run simultaneously (ex. transfer of
gold from one account to another for storage)
A GUI which will :
o Give a detailed report of resources collected & gold generated per hour using
live prices of items collected
o Allow the user to select from one of 3 basic gold farming methods for an
o Allow users to store a pool of accounts for automatic cycling through accounts
o Give users the ability to set goals for accounts before cycling to the next account
(ex. Collect X amount of resources before switching, otherwise it is randomized)
o display a tally for which account generated the most, ran the longest, was the
most productive per hour (highest average of gold produced per hour)
Automatic switching of accounts in case one receives a ban
By offering those features I tried to do something similar to topic 1 but in the context of the
game. If I can continue with this project I am open to suggestions of things you would possibly
want to see in order to satisfy all the requirements. If this topic is not allowed would I be able
to select topic 1? It was not exactly clear from the course project outline if we must select
something different from the suggested topics or if we may also select the suggested topics.
