Cat sits down on a chair on one side of a table. The
Interviewer shuts the door behind him. He sits down in the
other chair placing a file down in front of him. He reads
from it and abruptly closes it. He looks up to Cat.
INTERVIEWER
Catherine is it?
Cat nods.
INTERVIEWER
Can I call you Cat?
Cat shrugs.
INTERVIEWER (cont’d)
Thank you for coming in again Cat,
I’m sorry the waiting list has been
so long.
He smiles at Cat but she does not smile back.
INTERVIEWER (cont’d)
I have some information here that
was collected on your previous
consultation.
He taps the folder in front of him with his index finger.
INTERVIEWER (cont’d)
But if you wouldn’t mind telling me
in your own words why you wish to
have this procedure done?
Cat doesn’t make eye contact.
CAT
I want to forget.
Her eyes are darting around the room, she locks eyes with
the Interviewer momentarily.

8

EXT. STREET - NIGHT - FLASHBACK
Cat is walking down the street at a brisk pace repeatedly
looking behind her. There is a shadowy figure following her.
She quickly turns the corner and breaks into a run.

3.

9

INT. INTERVIEW ROOM - DAY
She snaps out of it and the man interviewing nods at her. He
then looks back into the file.
INTERVIEWER
That’s perfectly understandable
given your situation.
Cat still refuses to make eye contact.
INTERVIEWER (cont’d)
You understand with your budget you
are only getting...
He flicks through the folder, flicking past the high end
packages and stopping near the back of the file.
INTERVIEWER (cont’d)
The basic package.
Cat keeps staring ahead. The Interviewer starts to tap his
fingers. Cat focuses intently on the tapping, the tapping
slowly turns into banging on a door.

10

INT. CATS HOUSE - NIGHT - FLASHBACK
Cat is sitting at the bottom of the stairs rocking back and
forth as someone is banging on the front door and shouting

INT. INTERVIEW ROOM - DAY
Catherine jolts up right, she brushes the hair out of her
face.
INTERVIEWER
Catherine, I really need you to
understand this before we go any
further.
Cat continues to stare blankly.

12

INT. CATS ROOM - DAY - FLASHBACK
Cat can be seen slinging clothes into a suitcase on her bed
in a panic. She grabs a photograph off of her dresser and
places it on the top of the clothes.

13

INT. INTERVIEW ROOM - DAY
Cat looks up from the table.
CAT
I just want to forget.
Cat drops her head and resumes looking down at the table as
the Interviewer stares at her blankly before letting out a
long drawn out sigh.
INTERVIEWER
As long as you understand what it
is that you’re paying for.
He pulls out a small diary and looks at his schedule.
INTERVIEWER (cont’d)
You’re booked in for the procedure
later this afternoon, if you’re
100% sure you want to go through
with this.
Cat nods in agreement.
INTERVIEWER (cont’d)
Okay then.
The Interviewer stands taking the file with him and opens
the door for Cat.

14

INT. HALLWAY - DAY
The Interviewer shakes hands with Cat as she leaves the
room.
INTERVIEWER
My assistant will draw up the
paperwork with you, I’ll see you
this afternoon.
His assistant (25-30) gives Cat a smile and leads her into
another room. As the door closes the Interviewer lets out a
sigh and makes his way down several corridors. He reaches
the door to a small office and enters.

INTERVIEWER
New project for you.
Robbie glances at the file, before returning his gaze to the
computer screen.
ROBBIE
Alright, thanks.
INTERVIEWER
The client has moved to the area
and doesn’t have any friends or
family that shes on speaking terms
with. Another one of those
reclusive types. Easy peasy.
ROBBIE
That works for me.
INTERVIEWER
We’re performing the procedure this
afternoon so if you could get on it
right away, after you’ve finished
with Sarah’s file, that would be
great.
He taps Robbie on the shoulder and turns and leaves the
room. Robbie waits for the door to close. He grabs the file
and looks inside. A smile creeps onto his face, he takes a
quick look around to make sure there is no one around. He
gets up with the file in hand and rushes out of the room.
16

INT. FRONT DESK - DAY
Robbie rushes to the front desk and approaches the
RECEPTIONIST (18-20) at her desk. He adjusts his tie and
turns on his charm. Leaning on the desk and sliding over
towards her cheekily.
ROBBIE
Hey.
RECEPTIONIST
Hey you.
The receptionist twiddles her hair between her fingers, she
has a bit of a thing for Robbie.
ROBBIE
So, I just got this on my desk,
don’t suppose all the details have
been put on the system yet?

RECEPTIONIST
They just went up now.
ROBBIE
Any chance you can tell me the
specifics on why she came to us?
RECEPTIONIST
Sue just finished drawing up the
paperwork with her, poor girl looks
like she’s had it really rough.
ROBBIE
Oh really, like what exactly?
The Receptionist pauses and takes a look around just to make
sure no one is watching. She brings something up on her
computer and after a few rapid clicks she reads off the
screen.
RECEPTIONIST
It doesn’t say much in her file,
but she moved cross country so what
ever it was it must have been
pretty bad.. there was probably
some scoundrel of a Man involved,
like you!
She giggles. Robbie remains silent as this information
washes over him.
ROBBIE
What time is she having it done?
The receptionist seems visibly irritated that Robbie
overlooked her comment.
RECEPTIONIST
I can’t give you that information,
it’s not your department.
Robbie scowls but composes himself and straps a big fake
smile on his face.
ROBBIE
Of course you can gorgeous, it’ll
be our little secret.
He reaches over and squeezes her arm as he says this and the
receptionist lets out a giggle.

RECEPTIONIST
Well since you are my favourite
intern..
She flutters her eyelids at Robbie and clicks the mouse a
few more times.
RECEPTIONIST (cont’d)
She’s scheduled in for 4PM today.
Robbie mutters something inaudible under his breath. He
looks down at his watch and starts to walk away.
RECEPTIONIST (cont’d)
I’ll see you at lunch maybe?
Robbie ignores her and keeps walking. The receptionist
slumps back into her chair. She pulls out a small mirror and
checks herself out.
17

INT. WAITING ROOM - AFTERNOON
Cat is in another waiting room. She is watching the people
walk past the window in the corridor. Robbie then enters her
field of view. Her eyes widen, as he passes by. She shoots
up from her chair and rushes over to the window to try and
look down the corridor after him.
CAT
No, no, no, not here.
She paces back and forth a few times before making a break
for the door but before she can even make it half way the
Interviewer pokes his head out a door.
INTERVIEWER
Catherine?
She stops dead in her tracks. She looks over at the
Interviewer with a puzzled look on her face. She slowly
makes her way towards him giving the corridor a final glance
over her shoulder as the door closes behind her.

18

INT. THERAPY ROOM - AFTERNOON
INTERVIEWER
If you would like to take a seat
please.
Cat sits and the Interviewer hands a clipboard to Cat.

INTERVIEWER (cont’d)
If you can look over these general
anesthetic consent forms and sign
at the bottom to say you are sound
of mind and fully understanding of
the risks, we can begin.
She glances over the form and begins to sign. She looks up
from the forms but sees Robbie in place of the Interviewer.
Her eyes widen with fear.
ROBBIE
Is there a problem?
Robbie grins. She rubs her eyes to see that it is the
Interviewer again.
INTERVIEWER
Catherine is everything alright?
CAT
No. I mean.. yes. I’m fine.
She places her last signature on the papers and hands them
back to the Interviewer.
INTERVIEWER
Right, lets get started.
The Interviewer walks over to where a large metallic case is
sitting, he opens it and returns with an oxygen mask.
INTERVIEWER (cont’d)
A few huffs on this and we will be
good to go.
He approaches Cat to put the mask on. He brushes her hair
out of her face in order to affix the mask.
19

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT - FLASHBACK
Cat is sat on the end of a bed with Robbie. She is crying.
Robbie brushes the hair out of her face and tries to kiss
her but she pushes him away.

20

INT. THERAPY ROOM - AFTERNOON
INTERVIEWER
It should take about 2 minutes to
take full effect, you will start to
feel drowsy soon.
