History of Abstract
Since nowadays, questions have been raised about the nature of, and the difference between, two threedimensional and more than this dimension of abstract art. In early days of the 20th Century, Constantin
Brancusi put the basic question of what abstract sculpture was meant to convey: a subject’s image or its
essence? In the next decade, Pablo Picasso explained and proved that a sculpture didn’t need to be carved,
molded or cast: it could be assembled or gathered. In the decade after that, Alexander Calder demonstrated
that sculpture could move. And still decades later, in reference to his cross-disciplinary works, Donald Judd
offered “Specific Objects” as an alternative for the words painting and sculpture.
There are sculptures of different metals. But we now only discuss the fine metal sculptures. Fine metals
including copper, steel, brass, aluminum or iron. We used indoor and outdoor fine metal sculptures. Before
making a sculpture or purchasing there is need to identify that the metal of sculpture is fine or not. The quality
of metal plays a vital role in making sculpture. You can assemble your thoughts in a much better way by the fine
metals. Sometimes alloys are used for this purpose, alloy means a mixture of metals.
Copper is the prettiest metal for sculpture designing. Copper can change its color naturally or we can change it
easily. Copper can produce a rainbow of colors on its body. It is the best metal because it can be mold into the
desired shape because it is too much flexible. The desired shape means to convey your imaginations through
this metal. We can make wall water fountain, freestanding sculpture, tabletop sculpture, outdoor water
fountain or table water fountain.
Copper comes in different thickness so we can use it according to our requirement. We can use to make
flowers. Textures can be created on copper sculptures but these sculptures are delicate and it is difficult to
handle or manage them. In this way, we can say that it is difficult to make sculptures with copper. But so many
alloys of copper are used for making sculpture.
Bronze and Brass Abstract Sculptures
Brass and bronze both are alloys. Brass is a metal consist of both copper and zinc. Bronze is consisting of
copper and tin. Brass is a metal that consists of both copper and zinc. Bronze is a metal that consists of copper
and tin. Bronze sculptures are very famous due to the flexibility of the bronze metal or its molds can be filled
easily and nicely.
The manufacture of bronzes is highly skilled work, and a number of distinct casting processes may be used,
including wax casting, sand casting and centrifugal casting. Brass Sculptures can maintain their color
indefinitely if properly protected.
Iron and Steel Sculptures
Iron is the most abundant, hard and less flexible metal. Steel is an alloy of iron. Steel is very suitable metal for
the outdoor sculpture. It is a stable metal and it is easy to take care of it because of its durability. No doubt iron
and steel are best metals for outdoor sculptures but there is need to take precautions against rusting.
