SEPTEMBER MEETING
Try your hand at panning for gold! Learn new gold
hunting skills at our next meeting. Gary McNew will
demonstrate how to pan for gold. Members will can then try
these techniques. Find out where the nearest areas to gold
pan are located.
CHANGES IN MONTHLY BEST FINDS were discussed at
the last meeting – tabulation for the Treasure Hunter of
Year will be based on points obtained mainly from the
monthly best finds category.

Join fellow club members for dinner in the back room of P.A.
BBQ at 5:15 p.m. before the meeting. Dutch treat!

BURIED COIN CACHE - $25 REWARD!
FIRST CLUE:
"We have a clue for you, you have to exit on either 6th
or 10th to get on the road that goes to the water blue"
The buried item is a small brown medicine container filled
with clad coins.
It is placed in a Ziploc® bag.
Burial of cache and the clues are provided by Wayne and
Nancy Stephens. If the cache is found by a club member,
that person will receive a $25 prize AND earn the right to
bury the next cache! Good luck everyone! Please remember
- always fill your holes!
TRI CLUB HUNT
RAFFLE
The next club raffle is a Kodak waterproof camera
(donated by John Presslein) and a book "Historic Photos of
PB County". There will be two winners. Spots are $1 each.
Mark you calendar for Saturday, November 3 for a tri club
hunt hosted by Treasure Coast Archeological Society. Our
club, along with the Central Florida Metal Detecting Club,
has been invited. For more details, see page 3.
SEPTEMBER CLUB HUNT
Metal Detecting Hobby Talk News Brief
Time for a road trip to South Beach on Saturday, Sept. 29.
Please meet at 6:00 a.m. Not only does this allow time to hunt
before the crowds arrive, it will save us money on parking
since the meters do not have to be fed till 9 a.m. Usually after
the allotted time to hunt and tallies are done, brunch is
enjoyed at a local restaurant.
Our meeting place will be at Lummus Park at Ocean and 10th.
Take I-95 to Miami. Exit onto I-395, which will become 5th
Street. At Ocean Drive, turn left and proceed to 10th and Ocean
Drive. Parking will be on the right hand side of the street at the
curb. Be sure you park in a designated parking space.

Treasure Coast Archeological Society
Florida Tri-Club Jamboree
The Treasure Coast Archeological Society is hosting a special hunt for you.
Since The Central Florida and Gold Coast Metal detecting clubs are major supporters of our annual
hunt, you are invited to a special appreciation hunt.
Even if you never have been to our big annual hunt but you’re a member of your club, come have fun
with us. Meet new friends, tell some tall tales; put faces with those funny screen names you see on the
Internet.
We will host 2 different hunts.
First we will have a “Great Buffalo hunt”
A few hundred Buffalo nickels with some foreign coins mixed in the keep it interesting.
Keep all that you find!
Then after lunch we will have a token hunt for prizes. 1 token with be for a brand new
Garrett AT PRO
You must be wearing a shirt with your clubs logo or your club issued name badge.
Bring your own food or drink. Grilles are available in the park.
This is not a moneymaker for our club, just a big get together for all to say “Thank You”
Cost is $5.00 per person to cover cost of prizes.
