THE PATH TO

A GUIDE TO PROPERLY IDENTIFYING ZEN CPUS

A NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
This is not a literal guide, but actually a
more involved and creative way for me
to showcase suggestions for naming
schemes of upcoming and current
products in AMD’s Zen lineup. This
mock-guide was created by
@TomatDividedBy0.

TABLE OF CONTENTS
Ryzen Mainstream Processors

AMD Raven Ridge APUs

AMD Ryzen Threadripper

RYZEN 4, 6, AND 8 PROCESSORS
AMD’s lineup of Ryzen processors
are able to bring multi-threaded
performance to the masses, with
processors being shipped with four,
six, or eight cores. Special “i”
branded processors come with
automatic overclocking features and
XFR technology.

The Ryzen 4 Series (Pricing) includes the following entry level
quad-core processors:

Ryzen RY-4 1200 (4C/4T)
Ryzen RY-4 1200i (4C/4T)
Ryzen RY-4 1300 (4C/8T)
Ryzen RY-4 1300i (4C/8T)

The Ryzen 6 Series (Performance) includes the following
mainstream hex-core processors:

Ryzen RY-6 1400 (6C/12T)
Ryzen RY-6 1400i (6C/12T)

The Ryzen 8 Series (Production) includes the following
prosumer octa-core processors:

Ryzen RY-8 1500 (8C/16T)
Ryzen RY-8 1500i (8C/16T)
Ryzen RY-8 1600i (8C/16T)

RYZEN X WORKSTATION CPUs
AMD’s lineup of Ryzen X processors put the “pro” in professional, spouting up
to 16 cores and 32 threads, which help you tackle even the most demanding of
workloads. Combine this with 64 PCIE lanes, NVME RAID support, and quadchannel memory across the board, and you’ll find that there’s nothing Ryzen X
cannot stop.
Ryzen X is available in three variants:

Ryzen X RY-1600X (8C/16T)
Ryzen X RY-1700X (12C/24T)
Ryzen X RY-1800X (16C/32T)

RYZEN AND VEGA MOBILE APUs
With the combined power of AMD’s RY Ryzen and Radeon’s RX Vega, we are
able to create powerful solutions in form factors and price ranges once
thought impossible. Laptop APUs are designated with an M at the end, while
their desktop counterparts have a D at the end. Consumer parts are labeled
“RZ” while professional APUs are labeled “RW”.

Ryzen and Radeon PRO Solutions:

AMD RW-120M (Ryzen PRO 1200 and WX 2100)

AMD RW-130M (Ryzen PRO 1300 and WX 3100)

AMD RW-130D (Ryzen PRO 1300 and WX 3100)

● AMD RW-140D (Ryzen PRO 1400 and WX 4100)
Ryzen and Vega Consumer Options:

AMD RZ-120M (Ryzen 1200 and RX VEGA 8)

AMD RZ-130M (Ryzen 1300 and RX VEGA 8)

AMD RZ-120D (Ryzen 1200 and RX VEGA 8)

AMD RZ-130D (Ryzen 1300 and RX VEGA 8)

AMD RZ-140D (Ryzen 1300i and RX VEGA 10)
