Detector of the Year Competition Each month, points are awarded for the Best Finds competition. First place in each category
is awarded 2 points, second place in each category is awarded 1 point. These points accumulate through the year. The member with the
most points at the end of the year is awarded the Treasure Hunter of the Year prize. This is not a high-pressure competition, and it is
easy to participate. Just bring in any item you have found since our last meeting, and enter it in one of the six categories. Sometimes,
there are only one or two entries in a category. That means whoever entered those items are winners by default. We are now tracking
the points that don’t get awarded because there were no entries in a category. Those points could have been yours!
