Hi my name is Kevin Coughlin and I have a local business located in Jefferson, NY. For a
number of years, we have been serving the individuals and businesses in our community and
surrounding areas by providing Graphic Design Services, Signs, and Engraving. As you can
tell by our brochure and client listing, we are here to help you with all your signs and
engraving needs. We provide the one thing to our customers that the big players don’t, can’t,
or won’t. That’s good old time customer commitment and care. Sure others talk about it, but
we stand behind it. We listen to our customers and provide them what they are looking for.

What does this mean to you? It means that Finally you can have a
plaque designed your way with exactly what you want it to say. It
means that images, photo’s (in some cases), Text, and borders
can all be integrated into “Your” Plaque “Your” Way. You are no
longer limited to a traditional phrase or corporate logo’s (Not that
there is anything wrong with them and we can do them too!).

How can we do this? Well, we do it everyday! We are sign makers
and custom engravers. We are just applying our design and
engraving fabrication knowledge to plaques. It’s just like a smaller
sign and requires the same steps and care we take to design and
fabricate our customer signs. This requires working closely with
the customer to get the desired results - the same way we will
work with you.
Additionally, Our method of Sublimation Printing on Plaques also
allows for a crisper cleaner image since traditional engraving
methods actually cut the engraving plates. All of our plaques are
personally assembled and sublimated or engraved on site with
our equipment. We use special sublimation equipment, pantograph
machines (trophy plates), as well as artistic sandblast engraving on
glass & crystal plaques/awards, rocks, metal, marble, granite, etc.
We are the Area’s ONLY custom sandblast engraver and can and
have, engraved everything from glass to cemetery stones, and
everything in between. Please see our brochure that shows the
quality of work, as well as work we have done in our local area.

The Plaque Sublimation Process
Each of our plaques and Interior Signs are individually designed and
printed using a sublimation process (with the exception of glass/stone
signs and plaques). A sublimation process involves the combination of
high heat and specially formulated inks. When these specially formulated
inks are heated to certain temperatures, they turn into a gas and bond to
the metals we use or other special treated materials. This allows us to
basically design and sublimation print any design, text, or image on our
Brushed Aluminum or Brass signs and plaques.

Since we are also Graphic Designers, we can manipulate images to be
the best they can be or can digitally re-draw them. This eliminates most if
not all of the deterioration of images or logos that must be scanned into
engraving machines by most other engravers. Our Graphic and Design
capabilities allow us to produce the best images and text imprinted on
plaques available today.

Most are familiar with the Laser or Rotary Engraving process used in
making plaques. The sublimation process is just another process that can
and is being used to produce extremely nice looking products that are
generally indistinguishable from engraved items unless physically felt.

Si

Each process has their own advantages and disadvantages. Sublimation
printing is often cheaper than traditional engraving methods for “simple”
signs and plaques because machines costing thousands of dollars are not
required, and there is little to no design time involved. As far as which
process is better, our opinion is that they all have their place, and if
operated by a qualified designer/operator can produce works of art.
Otherwise, it is just a machine that prints or engraves what is fed into it. In
fact we intend on offering Laser products in the very near future so we can
apply our design abilities on a greater number of products.
We firmly believe it is not the machine that does the imprinting or
engraving that makes the difference - it is the capabilities of the designer
that can capture what you want to say and put it on display in a way you
would be proud.
