5pm. – weigh-ins, introductions, chit –chat
5:30pm – Deadlift Competition begins
Deadlift Rules
 Chalk, Belt and Lifting straps allowed
 Bare-foot lifting allowed (just for you Nick)
 No singlet required, shorts and T-shirt are acceptable
 No hitching or resting bar on thighs
 Good lifts will be determined by general consensus (i.e. All competitors are judges as
well, just remember lifts can be ugly and still good)
 The Bar weight will only rise, this means that some lifters may have to follow
themselves, in that case they will have a chance to rest before beginning their next lift.
 Lifters may warm up as the bar rises
 Only three official attempts may be made, lifters must state before the beginning of a
lift if it is to be counted as one of their three attempts or if it is a warmup.
 Weights may be selected in increments of 5lbs.
 No dropping the weight
 Winner is determined by Best Lift in lbs. divided by Bodyweight in lbs.
 If anyone plans to pull more than 700lbs. please let me know so I bring enough plates.
6:30pm – Food, BBQ pork, Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Allison’s special baked beans, potato
salad, chips, desserts, sweet tea, lemonade (and you are welcome to bring anything else you
want, but please no alcohol – this is a family event and I have enough liability as it is.)
7:00pm - fun, frolic, and potentially a surprise event while we finish up eating.
9:00pm – get outta my back yard.

These will be pre-order at the contest and the cost will be $15 – final front and back design
